The resolution would give the House 25 days to send articles of impeachment over to the Senate. After that, a senator could offer a motion to dismiss "with prejudice for failure by the House of Representatives to prosecute such articles" with a simple majority vote, according to Hawley's proposal.

I don’t know why they’re giving them as long as 25 days, but you certainly can’t ask for any fairer than that.

This needs to go to an immediate vote. Force Nancy to shite or get off the pot.

25 days should be retroactive as to when the articles passed the house.

Really put that time crunch on lil miss dentures

I believe it is retroactive according to what I’ve read. Someone could correct me if I’m wrong. This would give Pelosi until Sunday.

then house can re-vote again to "impeach" starting another 25 day clock, but will also kill the "important-speed" narrative by pelosi.

I thought it was 25 days from when the Senate measure passes.

Senate Majoriy Leader Mitch McConnell has signed on to Sen. Josh Hawley's proposed rules change to allow the Senate to dismiss articles of impeachment for failure to prosecute if they're not sent over in 25 days after the House vote.

This makes it seem like it’s since the House vote but who knows.

Sounds like this should start to clear up tomorrow based on how McConnell and Rubio were talking today.

She is breathing easier. She doesn't want that BS exposed to the public.

Just so nobody has any cause for complaint, I’d subtract the number of days they were out for the holidays. I know she could’ve sent them over the next day, but we’ll be fairer about it than they were.

That still gives them what, almost two weeks? Again, you can’t ask for any fairer than that.

My thoughts as well. Her and Shiff are probably hoping that this gets dismissed or they will have to turn over the full depositions to the Senate.

Why wait 25 fricking days? If the House is impeaching the POTUS it should mean our country is in a crisis and no time should be wasted removing the POTUS from office. I guess I just illustrated how big a fraud this Schitty Schiff, Nadler and Pelosi impeachment sham truly is.

I think it means for THIS impeachment only.

Normally the articles would be immediately submitted so the 25 day limit should be completely irrelevant.

impeachment charges would be dismissed with prejudice which means any new impeachment charges would have to be based on different facts than what theses charges are based on.

That implies that facts were involved with this set of articles.
