If he's been dead for awhile, then I think Scott Jennings is going to have to answer why he said that he had a "20 minute" phone conversation with McConnell. (At least 3 people all said they had "20 minute" conversations with him. That seemed strange).
I like Jennings, but I hope he didn't allow himself to be used in order to deceive the public.

They're not going to admit he's been dead for weeks. They'll make it sound like it just happened even though everyone including Ray Charles can see this coming and even tell you when they'll wait to announce it.

Maybe there can be a silver lining here. Maybe what few decent Republicans there are in the Senate can use this as a way to start a leadership challenge and force him out. I know it’s a pipe dream but let’s at least enjoy the thought for a few minutes before we have to swallow the reality of being stuck with Thune for a nice long while I’m afraid.
