Props to McConnel!
You do understand that, for rational minded individuals, this is actually a deterrent, right?

Put your 2 masks on, the vaccine does not work.

Well, yeah when you are running against Joe Stalin.

Why? At this point, why exactly is pushing vaccination a big “pat on the back” moment for you? They don’t prevent you from getting sick, they don’t prevent you from spreading the virus, they’re risky to the receiver, and they’ll likely cause extremely resistant strains to start popping up because they’re still allowing the virus to be passed around unknowingly *allegedly* post-treatment.
So again, why are you still on board with the vaccine aside from siding with the authoritarian government because you’re a weak loser who wants to feel a little taste of power vicariously through them?

Neither trump nor desantis is putting pressure on people to get vaccinated. Trump said it should be completely optional.
You are simply dishonest.

The vaccines do prevent you from getting sick.
In the post right below this one people are talking about this quote - it speaks for itself.

And to his point about seeking to persuade vaccine skeptics with "positive education," Alvarez reiterated his strong endorsement of the vaccines' efficacy and safety: "This is one of the most effective vaccines with the fewest side effects that I think the history of science has ever created," he said.

But the people dying now are 99% unvaccinated???

There is no way that statement can be validated as complete fact. All of these politicians claiming that the poke is safe cannot make that guarantee.
Many of the concerns voiced by doctors initially pertain to the upcoming few months and cold season, these vaccines are still very new.

Oh yeah, big pharma doesn't make money off that

Serious question, to what end?
Does more vaccinations = a return to "normalcy"? And if so, what level of those vaccinated throughout the country equates to success or "enough"?
That's been my biggest gripe throughout this whole episode. There is no metric of "success" or goal other than, presumably, total eradication of the virus...which I don't think anyone has said is possible.
At first the goal was "just two weeks" so as not to overwhelm the healthcare system. Well, the healthcare system NEVER came close to being overwhelmed (ex. countless "overflow" hospitals were never even used). So mission accomplished, right? Nope. Restrictions strengthened and extended further because the next goal was we have to do this until a vaccine is available. Well, it's been available for 8+ months. Yet, here we are again.
Now, I'm sure you will say that is because "not enough people are vaccinated". Well, my counter is what number is "enough"? Enough to completely do away with any restrictions. 40%? 60%? 100%? I mean, we have the CDC coming out recently recommending that VACCINATED people continue to wear mask and practice social distancing. So it seems like even being vaccinated isn't "enough"?
As it stands, the death rate is still exceedingly low. Hospital aren't being overwhelmed and STILL aren't in danger of such. There are "dire" reports of unvaccinated people outnumbering the vaccinated in the hospital. But if you are vaccinated why do you care? You seem to be protected and those who aren't have made their own risk assessment (potentially to their own detriment if the gross hyperbole is true.
For nearly 20 months there have been screams and cries for compliance to reach a never defined and always changing "goal". So perhaps that is why people are reluctant to listen and flat out don't care what the "leaders" say. Because at every turn the compliance has never been "enough".

More or less it can. Since almost all (I didn't say all, I said almost all) cases that are leading to death right now are from unvaccinated, then you can draw a conclusion that it works very very well. It's not perfect, nothing is.
