I'm also very happy to see both tournaments result in Japanese champions during a year where Asian discrimination has been mentioned so frequently.

Almost like it was scripted. What are the odds?

If you think you can script someone to hit great golf shots and shoot 11 under at the Masters, you’ve never player golf!

Perhaps the Japanese of today are different than they were 70-80 years ago. Kinda like how white people shouldn't be held responsible for slavery that ended a century and a half ago and how Germans shouldn't still be paying for actions taken by the Nazis.

wisdom on display

All of the major atrocities in the last hundred years has been prompted by rank and 'official' propaganda - much like the propaganda onslaught we are suffering today.

Ha ha I lived him and even in Cleveland my friends and I emulated him when we played football.

I did not associate that with disrespect that you often see in the nba these days or the stupid group nfl stuff

We vaporized two of their major cities. I’m not saying it was wrong but we don’t really hold the moral high ground.

Its sort of poetic, that under the phony backdrop of anti-asian violence and woke mob pressure to move the Masters out of GA, an Asian champion dons the green jacket.

Would firebombing more over several months have made you feel better?

Tell that to some of the posters here that might not have ever been born if their grandfathers had to die going into mainland Japan to end the war "morally".

Our moral high ground comes from the fact that we set them free to create one of the greatest economies and freest societies in the world. Before the United States and the 20th century, war victories typically meant taking over the country and its citizens. We set them free both from their imperial rulers and others who would’ve loved to have enslaved them and destroy them.

What do you think they would’ve done to us if they developed the atomic bomb first?

This put a smile on my face and I cannot say much in the world of pro sports has done that in a while. If you have ever had the privilege of walking those grounds you would understand completely his respect for the place. I don't think you can find one blade of grass out of place there. Whether you are a golfer or not, never pass up the opportunity to attend that event if it is offered. Just attending a practice round for one day ranks as one of the best sports experiences in my life.
