Yes

Russia is connected to both Iran and the Houthis. Can we attack Russia in Russia now?

Ok so you’re serious and you’re dumb.

If you attack a US military aircraft carrier in international waters or one of our 700 bases around the world, you are engaging in an attack against the United States.

That's the point I was just about to make. Every attack in the ME conclusively gets labeled "Iran-backed" by the media -- and the Biden admin. seemed to do this, too.

Remember when John Bolton was an enemy of MAGA? Where do we predict he'll fall on a potential war with Iran?

The opposite. I understand the history of this rhetoric, which you are being purposefully ignorant to because your team is using it this time.

Who is disputing we can't respond against the Houthis directly?

We're discussing attacking Iran. A completely different scenario.

Where you are having problems is spinning the Houthi issue into a justification for intervention in Iran (see above)

I’m not having any problems. The Houthis are state sponsored terrorists. Do you know what that means? Apparently not.

I've answered your questions. You refuse to answer mine now.

Yes.

Is Russia?

Russia-Iran Ties Extend to the Houthis of Yemen

quote:

As Russia’s relations with Iran have expanded over the past few years, Moscow has grown increasingly connected with the “Axis of Resistance,” the sprawling network of militias backed by the Islamic Republic across the Middle East.

One example is the growing cooperation between Russia and Ansar Allah (commonly known as the Houthis), a Shi’ite sect from northern Yemen that has taken control over the most populous parts of the country since 2014 and that for the past year has menaced shipping in the Red Sea in a show of solidarity with another Iran-backed militant group, Hamas.

Since the outbreak and spread of the Gaza war, following Hamas’s attack on Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, Russia has hosted several Houthi delegations, provided diplomatic cover for the group at the United Nations, and reportedly given tracking data to the Houthis to allow them to better target commercial shipping in the Red Sea.

There are also reports that Russia plans to give arms supplies such as AK-74s and anti-ship Yakhont missiles to the Yemeni militia. Moreover, military advisors from Russia’s foreign military intelligence agency, the GRU, are reportedly present in Houthi-held territory.

Again, very few people are openly against responding to the Houthis directly, in Yemen.

This thread is about attacking Iran, a completely different conversation.

I'm not disputing Iran is connected to the Houthis.

The point is that Russia is also connected to the Houthis.
