Headlines focused on Calvin Coolidge, who was about the biggest non-entity to ever occupy the WH
History has excoriated him and placed the crash and eventual depression at his feet due to lack of action. He is viewed harshly because he refused to help the agricultural industry. Though he had many flaws, looking through his actions through the lens of a constitutional purist, he would not be seen with the same negativity.

getting ready to burn down the deep state, address the deficit and debt, and end support for wars in Europe and the ME?

- Is taking it to the Deep state. Nobody ever thought it would be a short fight. Nobody.

- Deficit.. it just dropped by 3% in year 1. Nobody thought this would be an over night fight either.

- end support for wars in Europe and the ME? What wars have we started again?

Congress has long abdicated it's responsibilities to the Executive. It's become an absolutely corrupt, useless entity. A cancer on the body politic.

That being said, I also knew on that night in November, 2016 when Trump upset Hillary, that he was merely a speed bump. I hoped for more, but unfortunately, I believe I was right. The cesspool that is DC is too deep, too entrenched.

SDT, that wasn't directed at you. I know you don't bother reading legal matters or thinking objectively when it comes to Trump.

BCreed cited a case, Bas v Tingey, for the proposition that the Supreme Court HAS acknowledged that we have had military actions short of war. That same case establishes unequivocally that military action without statutory authority is unauthorized.

This is like asking my dog to do algebra, but can YOU find any authorization for the President attacking Iran in this instance without Congressional authorization? If not, you are admitting that Massie is right.

This isn't a win. Not even close.

We haven't started any.

But a lot of us wanted to end support for corrupt Ukraine and that foul midget Z. Just end all American involvement in that conflict. And that has been a huge disappointment.

I don't consider it a victory when the politicians I have supported have the power (votes) in DC and also hold the WH, and they don't get frick all done - outside of the border and deportations (well done so far).

And this is the samething. More of the same from you. You actually use to be a better poster willing to engage in actual conversations. Now you are turning into another HHTM or Roger.

It was Massie that led a fight against what his own constituents voted for.

Trump is meeting goals set and it's all there for you to see if you wanted to.

- Deficit dropped
- Inflation rate dropped
- Wages up
- No new never ending wars
- Tariffs in place and still being used to better the people of the USA
- Taking the fight to the cartels and China by actions.

I didn't suggest that the deep state should be in shambles today. I argued disappointment in the lack of progress on this issue.

Correct that nobody though this would be an overnight fight. Wrong that a 3% drop from Biden-era deficits is something to be satisfied with.

Do you understand the difference between "support" and "start"?

I think it will be interesting to see what comes of this year. It will be a pivotal moment for this administration. I have hope that a lot of what you mentioned is going to start happening. Time will tell.

I'm not casting judgment good or bad on Calvin Coolidge.

I was just using him as an example of how the media focuses on the POTUS in office, no matter how dull or insignificant a personage he may be. I could've just as easily said Millard Fillmore or Chester Arthur.
