Some reports say he was wearing a 'tactical' vest (I guess that would be a bulletproof vest?!?!), so quite likely he was prepared for much more. The only reason I wish they had taken him alive is to find out a possible motive and any collaborators.

If the shooter is non-white: Politicize now! We must do everything in our capacity to make sure this never happens again. If the shooter is white: Is he ANTIFA? Is he a leftist? Can he be linked to the left somehow? If yes, politicize to the max. Claim the shooter is representative of all leftists and we need to take decisive action and demand all leftists take responsibility for the actions of this person. Their beliefs and their politics are what caused this tragedy.

If the shooter is white and not a leftist. Thoughts and prayers. Now is not the time to politicize this tragedy. Anyone doing so is gross and deplorable. Ease of access to guns don't kill people, people kill people. This person does not represent all christians/gun owners/white males. Maybe he had a mental health issue but we aren't actually going to suggest concrete policy to address that. In fact, we are likely going to seek to cut treatment for mental health services in our next budget. Also, maybe its really a conspiracy, they are members of one of the above groups in spirit, or its the deep state or a false flag, lets see what Info-Wars tells us in the next few hours and maybe run with that.
