I was reading a bit and at the beginning of the slave trade here it was half rice half tobacco we weren’t making the money like the sugar farmers in the Caribbean. And in 1850 cotton was like 1-1.5% of gdp. There isn’t enough there to say entire swaths if people got rich off slavery. And you want to see a present day country that was rich off slavery? Haiti.
