For one thing, these civilians who are going to get involved in police discipline are going to be the last people on Earth who should be involved in such decisions.

It's similar to the way the people responsible for FB and Twitter censorship are the last people any reasonable person would want performing that function.

I don't have a problem with this:
quote:

restrict no-knock warrants; mandate body cameras; and open some allegations of police wrongdoing for public review.

Gonna be interesting when videos pop up of cops just watching shite happen and stating they feel they couldn’t intervene for fear of breaking the law

The media has really driven home the "cops are killing minorities" narrative the past ten years. Keep in mind these are all rare cases.

Liberals fantasize about the idea that (preferably white) cops are hunting down minorities. It’s a sick and dangerous fantasy. Despite the statistics showing this isn’t true, liberals will never give up their dream. And if generations of minorities end up hating cops and white people? That’s fine too. Liberals didn’t care much when those cops were murdered in BR and Dallas. It was akin to the Middle East celebrations of 9/11. That’s the hatred liberals have cultivated, and they’ll never stop.

I asked my father how many unarmed blacks were killed by cops in 2019.

He is very sharp and pay attention to everything... But he has cable TV...

He guessed 2000...

He falls in line with a poll I read. 44% of people guessed it was 1500-2000 a year.

As of the June 22 update, the Washington Post’s database of fatal police shootings showed 14 unarmed Black victims and 25 unarmed white victims in 2019.

This is 100% true and 100% sad. Imagine how many lives, hell how many BLACK lives, will be lost to save those 14 next year...

Ok, i will play.... if this is allowed, then citizens should also have a role in discipline of politicians as well. Instead, politicians become millionaires in a few short years. And while making +/-$100K. Some have used public monies to hide law suits.

The larger point is that you should NEVER trust a politician. Period.

Media driven and BLM sponsored “civilians” with a role in police discipline?? Just take a second to ponder if you will.

Stupid people think the world just started turning yesterday and the stupid people of Maryland are about to be reminded of why police have existed for a very long time.

This part is good.

mandate body cameras

No lose, proposition here. A false accusation is easily debunked. A true accusation is easily proven. And bad apples will clean up their behavior.

and open some allegations of police wrongdoing for public review

Shouldn't this be public record anyway? They work for us.

But the best course of action would be to make fewer things illegal so there are fewer encounters.

So just status quo?

Let the police get to decide when the police do wrong. More of the thin blue line nonsense?

I like the idea. Sure there will be problematic people on the board, but there are problematic cops on the force.

Our media is vile and evil just like the democrats who control them.
