They become Catholic and the first thing is they need to go to confession because they are in a state of mortal sin. They should not be receiving communion if they are practicing gay sex. If they are living as brothers ok, but most gay men I know aren’t doing that.

no gay man can receive absolution unless they resolve to cease their homosexual sin, they can go through the motions of going to confession, but god knows their heart and you can't receive absolution if you have no intention to stop your sinful behavior. the priest doesn't get to make that determination god does that.
there lots of priest that will give communion to politicians that support abortion, they can't actually receive the Eucharist because you can't fool god you can fool a catholic priest, but you can't fool god.

I understand now. There are different levels of Catholic. Starter Catholics can only do baptism. Advanced Catholics can work themselves up the hierarchy to the Eucharist level. Kinda like scientology.
