He has never served in combat and is a fake hero of the Left. If you are going to be a pompous doucher who tries to take down a President because of your own personal political views then it would be wise not to parade around with more medals than a third World dictator. I don’t care how many badges and medals he earned and he clearly doesn’t either based off of his own political actions

Most civilians think a ribbon rack is more significant than it is. If you think that ribbons are indicative of doing something heroic or brave, then they're all bling on him. All the top ones are "he did a good job being an officer" ribbons. He's got pretty much the minimum you'd see on a general.

Milley is actually the least decorated Chairman in our history. Literally. He should have rows of 3 all the way to his upper shoulder. Instead he uses 2 Ribbons for a row, to try and make it look better.
I had a Chief warrant officer take over our 2/3 USMC Weapons Company command for 6 months once, he had ribbons to tip of shoulder.

As for USMC ribbons, we don't give them out like candy. ARMY is more generous by far. For example, when I served, army dogs got a ribbon in boot camp for throwing a grenade, for realz - not sure in 2025.
Milley uses 2 ribbon rows for top of his display to make up for lack of ribbons.
And NO, it's NOT to fit his collar. Check out other more decorated Generals. They use 3 ribbons per row to the top.
