Looks like they put Mulvaney out to pasture in the fields of Northern Ireland.

I am pleased to announce that Congressman Mark Meadows will become White House Chief of Staff. I have long known and worked with Mark, and the relationship is a very good one....

or those of us who are ignorant, could Meadows' seat be in jeopardy of being lost to anything progressive with a (D) next to it's name?

The NC 11th District was redrawn last year, but I don't think it helps Dems much. Just like everywhere else, they are found mainly in Asheville. Every place outside of Asheville is heavily conservative. Should not be an issue.

Thank you for that

I always get concerned about vacated seats but sounds like it'll stay secure if at least a reasonable conservative candidate runs.

Magician,

I'm with you, Mulvaney I had hoped would go back to OMB and set up some true cost cutting , lasting measures to fix the out of control spending. Once and for all, after the game takes back the house.

And he can get a multi million dollar gig anytime he wants it, he does not need the govt to foot his bill for a move to Ireland, this is a huge step down. and a shame.

Several conservative candidates ran as 100 percent Trump conservatives. The two people in the runoff are in that camp. There were 12 Rs running for Meadows' seat, so the voting totals look skewed compared to the Dem side, where only 5 people ran and Moe Davis was a clear winner.

The only real concern is 21,000 more Dems voted than Rs, but with so many people running I think people were just not motivated to go to the polls for what they knew would end up in a runoff.

We'll have a clearer picture after the runoff.

The Dem, BTW, is former military, but he's all in on every Dem loon idea, from "immigration reform" to healthcare for all.
