re: Mao and Lenin used street gangs to invade churches

My hero Bishop Fulton J. Sheen tells a heartbreaking story of Natasha a beautiful young Russian girl attending a clandestine Bible study session somewhere in the former USSR.

The KGB established a network of spies to track the movement of Christians (sound familiar?) and identify the location of their cells operating in the neighborhood. Then once the location of the cells was determined they would sent out goon squads to break up the Prayer Meetings. After the fall of communism in the USSR one of the members of a goon squad (a convert to Christianity) recounted his experience in breaking up Natasha's Prayer Meeting.

The goons squads were equipped with foldable leather lined iron rods which they would use to beat their victims. So when the goons entered the Christian Bible Study the first person this goon saw and attacked was Natasha. He beat her senseless, left her with lacerations and a mouth full of broken teeth. The thug recalls Natasha was beautiful. While reading this heart-rending account I recall thinking - yep, satan hates goodness, innocence, and beauty.

Then when they had beaten everyone and scared off all the attendees they left. But this story doesn't end here. About a month after that they were sent to break up another Christian Prayer Meeting. When this thugs entered the room......there was a bruised and disheveled Natasha sitting with her Bible. So in a blind rage, he and his goon pals laid Natasha on a table and while his pals held her he beat Natasha again, this time even more violently. Bishop Sheen did not say if Natasha survived.....only that her example had a profound effect on that KGB thug.

As a final act after beating Natasha, the KGB goon took her Bible and tore a page from it and left. Whatever that goon read on that page (along with Natasha's example) was enough to convert him. But in his account, he mourns the memory of Natasha.

IMO what we're seeing here in this church intrusion is much like that thug attack on Natasha's Prayer meeting - but void of violence and more likely designed to measure the response and blow-back. Look for the assaults to become more frequent and more violent. Especially if they can regain a measure of power. All sanctioned by our activist democrat judges acting in a collapsing justice system. And so it begins.
