How is a non-catholic asking a few questions about what the pope actually does in the catholic church trolling? Have you considered it could be a legitimate question? Of course, I know he's the leader of the Catholic church but the question of "what does that actually entail" is a fair one.

The entire papacy is a joke. The communist popes are just the cherry on top.

Other than a figurehead for all of the pomp and ceremony of the Catholic Church, I have no idea what the Pope actually does.
Not trolling, just being honest. Why do you think a non-Catholic would know about him?

I would also add, for my catholic brother in Christ (ballguy), what if we weren't trolling and were instead genuinely interested in learning of the ins and outs of the catholic faith? What if we were atheists/agnostics & were considering attending mass and giving Catholicism a try? Is immediate defensiveness and accusations of trolling really the first impression you want to make?

As for the overall 2024 national generic Catholic vote, 58 percent supported Trump, 40 percent Harris. Even more striking, 66 percent of Catholics who attend Mass at least once a week, cast their ballot for Trump. Those who go to church only a few times a year voted 56 percent Trump

Time to face the fact that your cult is compromised by evil.
If you're Christian you know the only way to the Lord is through Christ, Himself.
The Pope is just an unnecessary choke point created by man out of greed for (you guessed it!) money, influence, and power over the masses.
Imagine believing as a Christian that one man is closer to God than anyone else simply because of his title... Then turn around and imagine idolizing that man as Christ, Himself, instructed against doing.
Wild.

Odd that Jesus "forgot" to mention the pope.

There was this guy about 2000 years ago who dined with criminals, thieves, whores, and murderers. He must've been a lib cuck too

He's a former catholic priest. At some point he was involved, wether it be first hand or second hand knowledge of pedophilia happening in his world.

He doesn’t do anything to prove otherwise. I didn’t like him and he’s been everything I thought he would be if he were re-elected. The country is in the toilet and the bad stuff he’s doing hasn’t even fully been realized yet.

This is a common but misrepresented retort from people that gets run out there far too often.
Yes, it is true that Jesus hung out with sinners. Seeing as how we are all sinners, if he hung out with anyone, he was inherently hanging out with a sinner. Here's the huge key difference between what Jesus did and what oftentimes happens here on earth, which is a push to "accept" everyone in their sin. While Jesus did spend time with people who were frowned upon by society, he always called them out of the situation they were in. The great example is the woman caught in adultery. It's absolutely true that Jesus showed her mercy but look at that key phrase he mentions at the end, "go and sin no more." He shows mercy and grace but always calls us to leave our sinful ways behind. He doesn't say "just keep on sinning, it's no big deal" or "I'm fine with the sin in your life." Too often today, we take what Christ did, which is loving and merciful redirection away from sin and bastardize it into full acceptance which is neither loving nor merciful.

Is the new Pope asking for people to accept woman beating and human trafficking? Or is he expressing that even people who've committed crimes deserve human dignity?

I honestly don't know as I haven't looked into what the pope said or didn't say about that particular issue, I was just addressing your point directly about Jesus and his relationship with sinners.

I'm aware of that, and your response is misplaced because the guy I was responding to was criticizing the "love and sympathy" shown to a criminal. Of course the command is to go, and sin no more, but not once did Jesus say "if someone is bad enough you don't have to love or show them sympathy"
