I think he and Sienema are trying to leverage their party’s tenuous majority for their own benefit.

WaPo interviewer’s response:”What? Really? Why not? Are you scared?” Come on!!!”

Manchin and Sinema are moderate and need the protection of the filibuster to avoid tough votes on liberal issues. Look at it this way, with the filibuster in place they never have to vote on a controversial vote like Medicare for all as it never comes up.

You can count on Romney, Collins, or Murkowski to step in to fill out that 50th vote. Don't worry, he knows it, and is just pandering to his WV constituents.
