In short, your a dullard.

You are an imbecile and a pathetic conformist suffering a bad case of authority bias.

To me, you are like the ditzy blond newscaster
Your OP was heavily generalized. Follow up posts were overly inclusive. They manage to insult and demean "good guys" as well as the bad.

Emotions lead to lack of intellectuality. Lack of intellectuality leads to idiotic diminution of thoughtful posts/posters.

TTO is no "dullard". When you call someone like TTO a "dullard" it is a more painfully introspective comment than you realize

Agreed. If only doctors and nurses had the intelligence, awareness, and critical thinking skills of your average TD poliboard poster, this world would be a much better place.

I worked with a nursing student at a restaurant while I was at LSU. She had a 4.0 and sucked at her job. She fricked up orders, didnt know how to use a broom, and when asked to do dishes she said she didnt know how because shes never done it before.

This is the people you put your faith in, that couldnt do basic tasks.

Anyone interested in understanding the current state of our “healthcare “ system should read book:CODE BLUE: INSIDE AMERICA’s MEDICAL INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX.Author is Mike Magee,MD. He is a former Vice President ( guess who) Pfizer. His conscience got the best of him and he wrote this exposes’.It’s stunning (and disheartening) to see where we are.I knew some of what he speaks from my career but what I knew only scratched the surface.

Teachers and health care professionals have done more harm to themselves than any other profession since COVID started. They've completely lost the public trust.

Obviously, but only a few fields contain a higher percentage of very bright people as a totality of the field. It also self selects almost exclusively for people with high levels of ambition and drive, given it has the most rigorous requirements for admission into the field.

You should get another career with that attitude. Its exactly what op is talking about. Just talking down to patients. You just proved ops point. Thanks!!

Just get the fricking shot. I don't understand any of you. Get the shot and you won't get covid and die. And I'm a Trump guy. I voted for him twice. He also got the shot.

Holding your profession up to a standard of the average participant on an internet message board is not the most clever argument for how "special" MDs are. The fact is that the vast majority of truly bright people choose careers outside of the medical industry. That's simple math. Get over yourself.

According to the statistics, I likely won't die from COVID. I've had COVID already and I didn't die from it. Why should I get the shot?

Do you?
Interesting.

I know a lot of clueless laypeople who try to act like covid experts as well. The inevitable difference is the laypeople have often never encountered a single CV19 patient.

NC_Tigah - not sure what you're inference is with the graph. I'm pretty sure you're not disputing my comment about the vast majority of truly bright people choosing careers outside of medicine. That said, it's an interesting graph. I've seen others like it, but that's a nice breakdown.

Sounds like a spoiled person. I don't know how that is dispositive for all doctors, let alone health professionals, though.

Right.
It's a study from the 1990's. I sorely hate IQ comparisons. Based on personal experiences, it's not an exercise worth undertaking. That is an understatement.

But the wide score ranges charted in this particular graphic at least seem reasonable. Median MD IQ's are high. So it's interesting seeing posters here calling MD's "retard" or "ignorant" or "mush brain" instead of engaging their comments.

I happen to know a couple of physicians who've been targeted with those sort of invectives here. For the invective hurlers, challenging those folks to a one-on-one IQ demo would be about like inviting an online adversary to the local Sonic, only to realize the invited "guest" is Tyson Fury.
