If we closed more loopholes, simplified the tax code, made compliance easier, all of this would save money and generate more revenue. No tax rate adjustments needed

Loopholes? Which specific “loopholes” are you referring to?

It's never articulated what they pay and what they should. Loans on stock holdings should be treated as realization event in terms of tax

Making the Rich pay their Fair Share
The top 10% of earners in the US pay 70% of all taxes collected by the government.
The bottom 40% of earners in the US pay 0% of all taxes collected by the government.
Let's not focus on that, though.

It has nothing to do with their fair “share”. Democrats have been pissed off forever that, because capital gains are taxed at a significantly lower rate, the wealthiest Americans pay a much lower “ effective tax rate “. They also know that increasing the capital gains tax reduces the incentive to invest which reduces corporations ability to expand and create jobs, which in turn has a negative effect on the overall economy, interest rates and retirement accounts.“Eat The Rich” is a great way to appeal to middle class voters who have no clue that, not only does it not benefit them, it impacts them negatively.

In general simplifying the tax code and removing so much incentivization. Given the amount of money America pays just to file taxes, this seems like a wild inefficiency in our society

Should the rich pay their fair share? Sure. I do.
Do the rich take advantage of the tax code? Probably. I would too.

Trump let the cat out of the bag during his 2016 debate with Hillary. He said something to the effect that she would never change the tax code like she claimed because her big donors used the same deductions she blasted Trump for using.

Part of her schtick. Haven't heard anyone talk about this but them. Oboo boo must have come up with this brilliant idea. How about $10 for a gallon of milk and a loaf of fricking bread.

If the USA took all the personal wealth from so called American billionaires it would not amount to a third of what has been given to the Ukraine slush fund from which the Democratic Party reportedly garnishes back 60 cents on the dollar!

Define rich.
Define fair.

I would rather the rich spend their money on fancy restaurants, yachts, big houses and other rich endeavors. These entities employ thousands of people at good wages.
The alternative is to take that money and support illegal immigrants, high school moms, reperations and other bloated non productive liberal causes.

95% of senators R and D are millionaires. When will this fantasy “rich pay fair share” actually happen? I bet never, ever forever.

Watching one of the dufus' political ad, they show a photo of Elon Musk with Trump.
I read somewhere that EM paid nearly $28 billion in taxes to the federal government last year.

I would rather the "rich" burn it than give it to this government. Then at least it won't be used to start more wars, import illegals, or another bio-weapon.

I never understood the "make the rich pay their fair share(they pay taxes also)". And? The govt wants rich people to pay their dime? Dumb.
For the twillionith time.... "it's their MONEY, why should they pay more taxes than anyone else". Cause they make more? Gtfoh. I swear people are dumb af.
