We aren't doing as good as SK and japan, but I wouldn't say we are "the worst in the industrialized world"

3rd best is not "the worst". Someone needs to explain that to Madcow. They wear masks in those countries.
The CDC claims that wearing a mask only protects others from you, if you have the virus. Since many people are walking around with the virus, but do not know it, you'd think they would want ALL people to wear masks, so they won't unknowingly spread it to others. The motto is "Stop the spread."
When is Fauci/CDC going to recommend everyone wear a mask until cases are greatly reduced.
I realize that threes a shortage of masks. Maybe people can wear bandanas to stop the spread.

S Korea did things a little differently. They put all the infecteds' names in a public national database and let public shaming and the resulting forced isolation take it from there. Not to mention a bit of relaxing law against warrantless search and seizure by tapping into the gps history of the infected, for the purpose of finding them and tracing all of their movements, to then reach out and touch those who the infected were around and deal with them also.
It's an ill-comparison to consider SK and USA on the same plane. We are handling our situation with full recognition of privacy rights and rights against unreasonable search and seizure, while SK significantly cut corners in those respects.

I would agree with you 100% about the quoted statement above. Thus, I disagree with Maddow’s statement. However, the OP took it one step further and asked to name any country doing better than us, so I just pointed out that we’re not doing the best either.

If only 2 industrialized countries are doing better then the US, then the US is doing great. There are many more than 3 Industrialized/developed countries in the world.
Madcap claimed the US was doing "the worst".
Since she is a news source she is obligated to correct himself/herself.

Again, the OP asked a question, and I responded. The question was who has done better than us. If folks don’t like the answer, then don’t ask the question.
