Wasn't a lot of this Trump holding off to get everything into the mega-bill BBB?

Some. Not a lot.
It's another attempt by RINOs to slow down Trump, then lose the midterms IMO.
Between that and judges acting as kings, Trump's second term is going to merely be a speed bump.

Well the question always leads to, what legislation has the admin proposed? What white papers have they written on particular policies?

Trump 2.0 sucks and we aren't allowed to talk about it on here without being called names by our own.
Its a tough place to be.

I don't think this is a misstep by Trump and is intentional to try to salvage the midterms. The last thing they want to do is force a lot of congressmen and senators to vote on unpopular legislation, some of which is not even likely to pass, putting targets on them next year.
They're just using the spin to blame it on the GOPE or RINOS so they don't have to explain this strategy publicly

Government not passing new legislation could be a great thing. Enforcement of existing laws could benefit people more. There also could be a bigger need to strip legislation from the grasp of these powers

I would argue the very reason they may lose the midterms is not bringing up said legislation. Many people voted for those promises and feel let down and will likely stay home during the midterms.

Just wait buddy. Mike Johnson is going to show your arse. Just wait for that next CR. He's going to pass it so fast it's going to make your head spin. Record breaking some say.

That is a great description of the paradox of muh fight and the small population that supports it.
The more you fight, the less popular you will become, especially if the fight becomes irrational. It appeals to a very small, minority part of the base who is the most vocal and rabid. however, you run the risk of turning off the moderate middle which is a much larger population and swings elections. Much more violently.

Trump has made no move to do what he promised: reduct the 2T per year deficit. It will never happen if he doesn’t actively set it as a top priority, talk about it at every opportunity, and have his Cabinet do the same.
Instead we get silence, talk of billions in unneeded navy boats, and DOGE cuts ignored. We spend more on the military than
Russia, China, Germany, UK, India, Saudi Arabia, France, Japan, South Korea, Italy, Israel, Ukraine, Poland COMBINED.
For Gods sake, find SOMETHING to cut.
I’m sure your reaction will be “but Kamla worse!”. Of course she would be worse, that doesn’t mean Trump could be better, and by A LOT.

Bleeding this early is not a good look.

The refuse to codify anything and want to wait Trump out. It's more than obvious.

Hopefully, this year they get rid of 1,000's of oppressive regulations and excessive legislation.

The election being a mandate shows it's not a small population of a very vocal and rabid minority.
Even those not as rabid as this board are disappointed at the pace.
