I havent seen it because its been locked, but someone in our HR department made a Google sheet that apparently was open to the ENTIRE PUBLIC that had employees and their vaccination status.

Why? Because he did wish to shite his rights away to some meddling self important a-hole who probably would be the first to gossip about his private health information?

Happy to discuss, but I think this needs to be handled by HR in a manner that ensures confidentiality to employees.
Always appreciate these little reminders. This is one of those words that trips people up.

Is that a pick-up line? Do you have experience with "pain in the arse" situations? Not that there is anything wrong with that.

I know an ER RN who was asked if she had her vaccination, and she replied "Are you HIV positive?" The lady looked at her not understanding, so she asked again, "are you HIV positive?" The lady said "that's none of your business!" My RN friend said, "Exactly. It's none of my business. So whether or not I'm vaccinated is none of yours."...

Bad news. It's not protected information for an employer to ask about or know vaccination status. What is protected is the documentation or confirmation (ie. Vaccination card). That is why a lot of employers use 3rd party medical companies to verify the cards. This way the company doesn't have to see or store the documents.

Who is vaccinated is now the LEAST of your company's problems.
