I was disappointed in this as well. I’m assuming some deals may have been made to ensure he gets a job in the administration? Not really sure but I look forward to seeing more from him in the coming years. I hope he can stand his ground and not succumb to the good ole boy network.

Unfortunately, it appears to me that he has already succumbed.

I wouldn’t write him off just yet.

I’m not writing him off. Not at all. It’s just that he’s playing the game. He’d not really z as reformer. He appears to be getting inside the clique of good old boys now.

I’m not going to agree that he has not come off well in the debates. Just starting to think that’s not his forte, and unfortunately in these media days of elections, that hurts him. But I can honestly say that he is very well versed on the real state issues. He proposed real reform legislation as a State Rep, did very well at the podium in arguing for reforms and fighting against bad budgets, and was very good as a Treasurer. I honestly believe he would be a really good Governor for Louisiana. But that is just my unprofessional opinion.

Agreed. I actually met him a few months ago where we were both buying something for our wives. Talked for about 15 minutes. He’s much more personable in person and he didn’t hold back on what our states problems are and always have been.
He doesn’t have a shot unfortunately because he is by far the best conservative option.

I admittedly knew nothing about any of the candidates until I watched the debate a couple weeks ago.

Landry just comes off as a sleazy politician.

I’ll vote for a bad republican over a democrat, but in Round 1, I’m not voting Landry.
