Fawk this. If money is being spent by a government, we should know.

Yeah, things have gone beyond perversion at this point.

Why did we need legislation for this?

They don't want a Title IX lawsuit, when the men's basketball team gets more than the women's.

You can’t be this stupid. Players will transfer for an extra 2K because if the offer isn’t matched “we been dissed”

Yes. Less transparency is exactly what Louisiana's public institutions and government bodies need.

Nope don't like this nor do I not like the idea they won't pay taxes

This sets a very bad precedent. Not only is it shady, but it lets these athletes used to not paying taxes. How many of them will continue this practice once they leave?

The players need contracts and NDA’s.

NDA's are common practice for the last 20 years in business, whether buying or selling.

I’ve become pretty much an absolutist when it comes to public records and actions taken by public bodies. It should be 100% open records.

The State of Louisiana doesn’t have military secrets. There should be no such thing as state secrets. Sorry if the basketball players get pissed because the football players get paid more. But that’s not a real problem that warrants withholding public information.
