I’m thinking
1 no
2 yes
3 yes
4 no
What are your thoughts ? What about things such as the 10 year CATS tax .
LINK
I could be convinced that mass transit tax is good, if I felt the funds would be used appropriately
What else should conservatives be on the lookout for tomorrow and vote for/against in your opinion ?
1 no
2 yes
3 yes
4 no

No on all as a protest and because it's actually the right thing to do this time

Yes on #4. We have complained how the stupid LA constitution forces so much dedicated spending and an expenditure like LSU has to suffer the cuts because that spending isn't constitutionally mandated. This will allow for a bit more to be less dedicated, so to speak
No on #2. If you are in the top 10% of La earners (not hard to do) your taxes will go up.

Thank you for the input . This shite is tough to decipher.

Definite NO to number 3 unless you like having unelected board members being able to raise your property taxes without a vote.

Well shite , I don’t like that at all .

If you haven't seen it yet PAR usually does a pretty good job of giving both sides of the amendments.

I’m going with yes to no. 1 because Latoya said to vote no.

I voted yes on number 2, but I can definitely see both sides. This Hayride article mentions a good reason why to vote yes for number 2.
quote:
but the most important thing that’s in this amendment, the thing which makes it very much worth voting for, is the provision which takes income tax rates out of the constitution and puts them in statute.
That’s a big deal, and here’s why – someday in, hopefully, the fairly near future, you will have a Republican governor and a Republican legislature made up of people who understand just a little bit of economics. And among them there might very well be a consensus that if Texas doesn’t have a state income tax, and neither do Florida or Tennessee, and Mississippi has just begun to phase out their state income tax, then if Louisiana keeps on with one we are going to be well and truly screwed.
And on that day, that Republican governor and Republican legislature might well agree to go ahead and do what our neighbors are doing and get rid of the state income tax.
If Amendment 2 passes you’ll be able to do that by simply passing a bill through the legislature with a majority vote and have the governor sign it which makes the income tax 0.0 percent. You don’t have to then send it to the voters and watch it be demagogued by the Louisiana Democrat Party and the Louisiana Budget Project and the rest of the Soros-funded nonprofit lobby cabal.
That’s well worth doing even if there are elements of federal tax deductibility in the amendment we have mixed feelings about.

Voted yes to all. #1 is a definite yes if you have to remit sales taxes to multiple parishes. It’s terrible the way it is now. It will be more centralized and much more efficient.
A big NO for the CATs Tax. Give anybody who qualifies an Uber discount card. The Cat’s system is inefficient and corrupt. It doesn’t serve any purpose other than to sustain a bureaucracy. The customers are poorly served and would be better served with a subsidized private carrier such as Uber.

This should be handled by a constitutional convention. This stop-gap stuff isn't going to fix it.

I vote NO one very amendment no matter what unless it gets rid of two amendments.

Agree with a vote of yes one #1. It's annoying as hell to remit tax each month in LA. Other states are so much easier as it's centralized.
