Makes me sick to think this may happen, do any of you feel the same way? What are the odds? We're dealing with terrorists, not anyone close to normal.

If those slave owning Founding Fathers hadn't rebelled from England the US would have never been in Afghanistan and no Americans would have died.

They’re preparing to leave without those who can’t make it into the airport. Can’t/won’t ensure safe passage. Can’t/won’t provide alternative exfil point.
Basically the taliban says we can be at the airport until 8/31, then leave. Nothing else. The taliban isn’t allowing access to anywhere else for any reason. And we are ok with that apparently.
They’re focused on the “task at hand” of doing “everything they can” to get those who “want to leave” out.
If you can’t get to the airport then you must want to stay according to Austin.
