More like a bunch of naive people whose country fell apart during the European financial crises of 2007-2012 (never let a crisis go to waste) and made a lot of the same stupid arse voting decisions that we did here except on a grander scale with less margin for error and no means to undo it.

Dublin was one day. We did hit Guinness but several other places you didn’t list. Beyond that was the countrysides from Kilkenny to Cork to Waterford and all parts in between.
My experience didn’t fit your cross section of Dublin ghettos.
