Some of us never have.

Always found it comical that some felt the need to learn a foreign language to communicate with people in their own country.

It could also start a massive campaign to prevent the use of these drugs and care for its young people, as we have done in Mexico.

I mean, she's not wrong about the high rates of drug use in the US. But that's a cute picture she's trying to paint about how they have addressed drug use in Mexico. The reality is the massive wealth inequality is the main reason they don't have more drug use. The majority of their population is too poor to buy drugs; their elite can and do use whatever they want, if so inclined.

She's probably going to get killed before all is said and done.

That's what happens when you bow to tyranny. The cartels are the definition of a terrorist / military threat to the USA. Lets get that off our border first thing and out of our country. Then lets get it out of our hemisphere and planet.

That's not a call to war. That's a call to transparency and blockchain everything. Disperse EVERYTHING. No concentrations of power anymore. We'll be fine.

I was lucky to have gone through high school before they required it. Back then it was German, French or Spanish as electives. My daughter went through high school with 2 years worth of Spanish language and when we went on a trip to Cancun she was pretty worthless as an interpreter.

Not her fault...worthless language class requirements are taken about as serious as freshman art.

I’d imagine it’s next to impossible to learn conversational second language in a classroom.

Oh, you’re really scaring us Mexico with your “Plan B.” Here’s the dirty little secret, Sra. Sheinbaum, everything Mexico has is because the United States allows it. You need us, we don’t need you.

Yep...but it's required now...doesn't matter that it's worthless.

I took German as an elective due to my heritage and UW required foreign language.

Pretty well written and spot on if we really want to go there.
There is corruption everywhere and she is just like Trump, calling a spade a spade.

I like her demeanor, Trump and her will work well together over time.

No. Trump isnt a capitalist he is an 1850s mercantilist

If we were in the 1850s his economics would make sense.
