Careful, I got downvotes admitting that in one of my posts.

Assuming this is true, it's another dumb move by Elon's team. If it's not true then they need to put it on blast that this is just some asshat lying on social media.

Imagine you are hired by the govt to do a job. Your job requires a certain software and you win a grant for the purchase of that software. You are ready to do your work and the higher ups say, 'we're not going to allow that software to be purchased'. I've seen this in govt. Now, who do you think Elon's team of teenagers decides to cut - the guy that's now getting no work done that the govt said was so important that they hired him to do that work, or the idiots that created the situation that will now tell Elon's team,'we saved X amount of dollars'? Do you think the coder kids will spend the time to figure out who made these decisions?

People would be wise to remember Thucydides saying that nothing spurs a man to action like injustice, and then consider how govt employees feel in this situation. The federal gov hires you to process some order forms then some dudes outside the gov come in and turn your life into a meme from Office Space. Do you expect these people to sit on the couch in 2026 or do you think they might vote Dem, who will promise them reinstatement and/or back pay?

Can you guys hear that? It's the sound of millions of additional Democrat votes in the midterms from federal employees.
