The accidental publishing to media is addressed by Defense. Defense discussing a remedy if any.

Watched some yesterday. All analysts agree that the defense is angling to make this as drawn out and painful in order to force the prosecution into a deal that takes execution off the table.
The prosecution would be stupid to do so.

No doubt defense objected to mostly everything.
Defense opened today about the 2 second document leak. Defense was dramatic saying he could buy the document framed for his wall... Tha State disclosed that everything in the document is in public testimony already.
I got called away briefly but last I saw defense is deciding a remedy.
Even SFP would agree that defense is most likely going to write up a plea deal...if this judge rules today that this case goes to a jury trial.

It is ridiculous. The judge made some docs with personal info forbidden fruit....that everyone already knows about.
It will be interesting to see what defense wants as a remedy.

I don’t think they are going to waiver however there is an exception.
The taxpayers are paying for his defense.
The county has already had to dip into their own rainy day fund. Now they have gone to the State for help paying.
I think the last number I saw was $3M in additional funding requests.
They could bleed the county dry in hopes of a plea with life in prison.
I’m hoping they don’t do that but I will understand if they do. It will be disappointing.

Novak is ridiculously drawn out and repeats himself multiple times during every argument he makes.
ETA: I'm a bit behind but I'm shocked that the defense, as an alternative remedy, was to not let Robinson's defense be broadcast. Why would the defense not want their argument publicized?

Their official excuse is tainting the jury pool.
This was so high profile though everyone here that isn’t an idiot knows about it.

That's why you have voir dire. Address it in jury selection.

I understand.
I don’t know the real reason for the strategy.

Judge is reading before he rules on this. He is saying Ericka Kirks rights with the public media wanted access. Media as well, of course.
Judge ruling no electronic showing video of documents.
I think the Judge ruled this way to stop the defense from using it as a way out of death row.

It's because the actual evidence is devastating for Robinson and they want to continue feeding Candace Owens conspiracy theories about it being da jooooos.

State was saying the evidence is overwhelming and the defense calls up DNA people trying to do technical gotchas. It is a waste of time...Defense lawyers are paid to be dicks with a smile and waste time...

Defense wanted all cameras thrown out of court. Defense went on about Sept 1. Isn't today where this judge decides it warrants a trial?

GIVE HIM A FAIR TRIAL, THEN SHOOT HIM!

Judge is a fricking joke and a coward.... Saying he won't decide on probably cause until Sept.
Posted on 7/10/26 at 12:36 pm to Lsut81
So this is why defense said Sept 1 when they return for preliminary hearing?
any lawyers here? Is this normal to take a month in a half?

No... same as the hearing that is going on.
Prob cause hearing's 99% of the time are 30 min to an hour.
The judge is allowing the defense to do whatever the frick they want bc he is scared once Robinson is convicted and sentenced to death, he will be overturned.

As his punishment, I'd like to see his throat slit and have him bleed to death. Horrendous crimes call for an equal punishment.
