Blasting Schumer and Dems.

Reporter: How can you blame Dems when GOP controls Congress.

Answer (paraphrased): What a fricking joke of a question. You know why...you need 60 votes in the Senate and the GOP only has 51.

But in terms of votes for this bill, they only have like 45. Maybe they should brick over their own glass houses before throwing stones.

This is correct.

Mulvaney also took the opportunity to blast the 2013 one and what Obama did (knowing it as firsthand participant). States they would not "weaponize" the shutdown.

Evidence that one side is more into party-line voting at the moment?

I can't remember a Dem vote that wasn't party line when it was their agenda.

But if the Democrats really cared about preventing this impending doom, they'd pony up enough votes to get to 60 and SAVE THE GOVERNMENT!!!!!

This was the dumbest thing ever asked - but the DEMOCRATs spew this nonsense all the time without anyone laughing in their faces, so of course the MSM - especially the retarded CNN/Acosta - would think it is a 'gotcha' question.

What a shameful performance in that room.

SHAMEFUL

I'm sure he did. Trump said the blame falls on the president, too.
quote:

“It always happens to be the top. I mean, the problems start from the top and have to get solved from the top,” Trump said then. “The president is the leader, and he’s got to get everybody in a room and he’s got to lead.”
I'm glad he's evolved

It could serve a purpose just to show what is considered essential and what is not.

A lot of questionable jobs are considered essential while a lot of public facing jobs are considered non-essential.

Trump could have some fun pointing at parts of the bureaucracy which can go because they are either non-essential or because they were declared essential for questionable reasons.
