They don't really count because it is part of their job, at least the ones I know.

It's like saying Limbaugh stood up to them.

What non opinionist, non political figure has?

A lot of those people are considered “political figures” or “opinionists” only because of their opposition to various aspects of the cancel culture.

Take Jordan Peterson, who was just another psychology professor in Toronto until he publicly voiced opposition to Canada’s C16 bill regarding compelled speech. The videos he made on that topic are what made him famous.

He wasn't publicly speaking on various topics prior, both in his field and out?

I seriously can’t believe people haven’t learned this yet. You NEVER apologize to these people no matter what

It will only make it so much worse. Stand strong for a few days then it will pass

I've never understood apologizing just to make peace or make someone feel better about a situation. If you're not in the wrong and you apologize to someone it just reenforces that persons flawed position or logic.

If one person was alive to see where we are now and I’d love to hear their thoughts on it, it is Christopher Hitchens.

Gave not a single frick. His evisceration of Al Gore when asked to describe him in one sentence was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. I miss his commentary dearly.

Two others are the Instagram influencer Cara from Taking Cara Babies (story broke this week that she donated to TRUMP and basically ignored everyone and went about her business) and singer Lana Del Rey.

Christopher Hitchens burying Mos Def on Maher’s show (he also needs to be on this list) was incredible. Mos Def has to be one of the dumbest mother frickers alive.

Mos Def on nuclear weapons
Mos Def on Al Quada and the Taliban and not knowing the difference between them

Really? How did she support? Haven't heard her name in years.

Nah, she's not a Trump supporter.

She pushed back against the transgender nonsense and has not wavered. Was very surprising.
