I honestly don't fault RBG here. I don't think the SCJs should be going to this event at all. The context of the state of the union almost makes it a conflict of interest in attending. They have to be very careful about not approving of or disapproving of anything said during the event.Hell Scalia hadn't been to one in 20 years I heard.
