Wait...how is Maxine Waters going to give a response on BET if she hasn't listened to the man she is responding to?

So they will send Sheila Jax Lee and aides to block seats so no one else can sit there; but they won't be sitting there?
Justice Ruthie had plans to speak at some thing. No big loss anyway...

RBG goes to bed at 6:00.
In all fairness to RBG, after that particular photo, she explained: “I wasn't '100 percent sober' at SOTU.”

You’re nuts if you think SJL is going to forfeit any camera time.

The only ones besides RBG I am even familar with are Waters and Wilson, and that's only because they are loud mouthed idiots. Are the others members of the black caucus?

Refreshing honesty, but can anyone really blame her for not showing...we all know it isn't some sanctimonious stand against Trump...her bladder can't make it an hour and a half, especially after the scotch

Who's the designated survivor?

Should I let my son play "which one is not like the others"?

If Lindsey Graham was making the speech, RBG would be there simply to support a female senator.

For an older guy he's got nice hair.

Pretty much.
quote:
A number of the boycotting lawmakers are members of the Congressional Black Caucus, a group that expressed outrage over the president’s alleged “shithole” remark about African nations and Haiti. (The Caucus’s chairman, Louisiana Rep. Cedric Richmond, introduced a resolution to censure President Trump over the remarks earlier in January.) In the wake of those remarks, civil rights icon Rep. John Lewis was among the first lawmakers who said they would not be attending the address.
Jayapal followed suit saying “with all the racism and hatred coming out of this White House, I will NOT be attending Donald Trump’s State of the Union address” over Martin Luther King Jr. weekend. Sires said it was “disgusting that the President of the United States has no regard for American values or the immigrant experience” when he announced his boycott of the address on Twitter.

Rep. Bobby Rush (D-Il.)

In 1968, he went AWOL from the Army and co-founded the Illinois chapter of the Black Panthers.
quote:Can you imagine if there was a former Klansman in Congress?
After co-founding the Illinois chapter of the Black Panther Party in 1968, he served as its defense minister.[1] After Black Panther Fred Hampton was killed in a police raid, Rush said, "We needed to arm ourselves", and referred to the police as "pigs".[2] Earlier that same year Rush had discussed the philosophy of his membership in the Black Panthers saying, "Black people have been on the defensive for all these years. The trend now is not to wait to be attacked. We advocate offensive violence against the power structure."[3] After Hampton's death, Rush became acting chairman of the Illinois Black Panther Party
No wait the Democrats had one of those too
nvm

The Pillars upon which this Nation's prosperity now rests.
It would be a burden to have any of these people as a neighbor.
