"Hands were very gropey" are much different than assault.
Her problem is she did not consider it an assault at the time. It was only after decades of thought and probably getting paid off by left wing operatives did she finally realize it was an assault.

I would argue it did more to help turn such future "allegations" into a shrug your shoulders deal for most people. Especially those who are inclined to support him.

Because “they let you” is different than “they consent to,” in the context used.
I didn’t leave it off with purpose, simply noted that the quote pairs with this type of allegation - the allegation being true or not. It was more of a “careful not to boast about sketchy stuff” comment than a “he’s guilty and the devil.”
