How doe they have sharia courts? i am assuming they have no legal jurisdiction and it's only muslims abiding by these laws? When will women and LGBTQ start the protests

I really do not worry at all about them due to an ability to respond if needed to protect my family and my own.

Of course they are. All religions have internal mechanisms for punishing members who get out of line.
Catholics ex-communicate people. Mormons "shun" people.
Neither of the above carries the weight of law, and neither do the "tribunals" in Texass.
And their rulings cannot violate local, state or federal law. If they do, then the leaders of the "tribunal" can be held legally liable.

See, this is exhibit A of the ignorance and fearmongering that are being espoused by some in this thread.
The fricking sharia tribunal has zero authority outside the congregation of the mosque.
If you are not one of them, then you have nothing to worry about.
And if they mete out any punishment that violates local, state or federal law, they can be charged with a crime.
What you need to worry about is when they start running for office. And guess how you combat that? You go vote against them, just like you vote against any politician that you disagree with.
If you don't vote, then you have no right to complain.
