Austin Peterson, who ran as a Libertarian candidate, said he’s voting Trump and have this very interesting answer as to why. He likes some of what Trump has done from a libertarian perspective and he doesn’t want the neocons to take over the GOP again, and thinks the country will be better off if Trumps vision is what leads the GOP going forward

All he needs is to give a shite about the deficit and I'd agree 100%

The neocons have left the Republican Party and all joined the Democrats. They should stay there.

Neocons will no longer have a role in the GOP. The establishment is being purged from the GOP. Not all gone, but getting there... Trump is a Reagan republican.

Yeah, a lot of people don't make the distinction between big 'L' and little 'l.' Big is a party. Little is a philosophy. They intersect at some points but the distance varies.

It's the same thing with the Green party. There are very few small 'g' environmentalists running as their presidential nominee. The big G nominees are just Marxists who need an organization. Like Ralph Nader.

Jorgensen is such a weak candidate it’s hard to like her. Justin Amash should of ran and could of got interesting.

Neocons are now democrats because with the way Trump conducts foreign policy the democrats are the party of hostile foreign relations and war.

One problem with libertarians is that they have to have that perfect candidate. Neil Boortz said it best one time “when your stranded in the desert take the guy offering you a decent meal to keep going, or lay there and die waiting for the gourmet chef to show up”.

At this point in 2016 Libertarians were very energized. Now, I think most Libertarians want to punish The Leftists as much as any Conservatives do and see Trump as the way to do that.

Austin Peterson is my favorite libertarian, by far. Followed him really closely from '12 to '16... It's too bad he was running against Hawley. I'd love to see both of them in the Senate wrecking lib bitches.

He would have won if he wasn't so weak on illegal immigration.

Registered Libertarian that voted for Johnson last time but I went with Trump this time.

If we can get just one more justice we can start to win some 10th amendment fights in court. Roberts is a Statist so cant count on him.

Federalism is the only way to save our nation.

Gary Johnson got about 4.5 million votes in 2016. He got significant amounts in the rust belt. He got 1.2MM in 2012. Where do his votes go if they don’t go to the new libertarian woman?

Trump is the closest thing we will ever see to a libertarian in office, imo.
