Liberals: Do you ever stop and look at reality?

Next time you drive through a mid sized city look around. Look at all the restaurants serving meat based meals. From fast food, to sit down chains, to local places. Look at all the passenger vehicles and count how many are gas or diesel compared to electric. Look at all the construction equipment running on diesel. Ride out to the country and see diesel tractors plowing fields, growing food. Look at all the large 2,000 sq ft plus homes everyone owns. Soak it all in.
And tell me, realistically, how you think it’s feasible to completely upend that culture? Tell me how you’ll convince these people to stop eating meat? To buy expensive electric cars by trading in worthless gas ones if you get your way and eliminate fossil fuels? How will we build things? Grow food? There are no electric tractors, or heavy machinery. How will we provide backup generators to hospitals during power outages? Or other critical infrastructure? How will you convince families to give up their comfortable home for a small apartment because green energy can’t handle the load of so many large homes?
Do you really think it can be done in the short timeframe everyone expects? Do you think you can Ram it down peoples throats and they’ll roll over and there won’t be massive backlash and violence? Wake up. None of you are seeing the real world

They think it'll just be others who have to deal with changes.
They all think they'll be in the chosen, privileged class.

Not eating meat has nothing to do with democrats… the frick you on about?
And the whole thing about how many more gas vehicles there are than electric, are you being purposefully dense?
That’s like people riding on a horse back when Ford vehicles first came out and soon can’t you look around and see how many horses there are? Stop trying to force these cars down our throats!

Please point to when government mandated people sell their horses and buy cars.
Get it now?

Eh no, cars compared to horses was clear progress that needed to happen and Gas to EV’s is not necessarily. And 99% of people who don’t eat meat do so because of extreme left wing beliefs so you are the one being dense.

They hate reality even more than they hate America.

The need and want for automobiles grew organically and the demand for them set the market. The government didn't raise the price of horse feed to where noone could afford it.

quote:That's funny I remember all the smart early adopters replacing their thousands of vhs with DVD's. They knew the future, but they didn't even conceive Blu ray a few years later and on demand/streaming a few years later. Now when it's said and done DVD's are gonna be a blip on the radar. And some people still have their vhs collections and like them better. I don't know, can you predict every breakthrough? The future is exciting and beyond our paradigm. What if 5 years after the plug in electric car someone starts working on a solar electric car?

They aren’t liberal. The sooner the “own goal” loser corporate Republicans figure this out, the better. They are fascist authoritarians. Nothing liberal about that!

People went out and bought Model Ts for two reasons. 1. They were affordable 2. They outperformed what was available (horse & buggy) at the time. EVs do not currently meet either of those criteria. One day they might, but they don't today.

I remember reading about capacitors in science and tech magazines. It was the wave of the future. All our battery inconveniences were going to be solved, we'd replace them with capacitors and they'd last 10 years and be recharged in 5 seconds or whatever. And it was coming soon, it the next 3-5 years it was coming. I told people, hey we're not gonna have to worry about batteries soon these new capacitors are gonna be kickass. It's been about 25 years.

quote:This is impossible and will always be impossible. If you captured 100% of solar energy hitting your car, it's not enough to move it. The technology (that will never exist) to make this happen would be greater than Lisa Simpson's perpetual motion machine that gained speed as it moved. Think about it in terms of wind energy (because it's easier to envision): to have a wind-powered car, the wind would have to be blowing hard enough to push the car down the road, and outside of fleeting natural disasters, this never happens. And even then, you'd have no say in where you're going.

Some insider baseball for those flawed sheep..
Two classes, elites & pawns/glorified slaves. The elite? $6M in liquid assets &/or blue blood direct descendant, key sphere of supportive influence (politics, oligarchies) or an associated exemption.
The other 99.9%. Us.
The social credit worthy sheep won’t get the scarlet letters MAGA treatment, but they may well end up wishing they were “processed” early & didn’t have to live out their misery as a serf.
This is coming a hell of a lot quicker than most anyone realizes. The fricks behind this shite aren’t getting any younger & they pushed this sooner/cut corners from the master plans so they could see the evil rewards of their efforts in their lifetime.
Thankfully they did, it’s a full generation too soon & we actually have more than a fighters chance to block their vision from becoming part of history.
Get ready folks, we are not voting our way out of this.

quote:they already exist. The sun acting alone gives them enough charge for driving about 30 minutes per day. If you plan to do more driving than that, you plug in for a quick, full charge.

Most owners top them off at an AC charger once per week or so.

For the millionth time, Leftists/Democrats don't think, they feel.
They throw a "solution" at a problem without ever considering the real-world ramifications of the implementation of that solution, sniff their own farts, pat themselves on the back then move on to the next problem leaving absolute destruction in their wake.
Then, one day, those real world consequences affect THEM and they scream to the Heavens "who could have done this?!?"...

They don’t think. A lot of people don’t.
It’s like the vegans. They don’t know that crops destroy lands, use pesticides, fertilizer, animals get trapped or killed to protect crops and not all land is suitable to grow crops.
They just think everyone should eat plants, forget our teeth are made to eat meat.
