for-profit education organizations are to blame for this.

Lol. Our universities played a huge role in this.

If the only takeaway you got from “Sold a Story” (which I guarantee you didn’t listen to) was “profit is the problem,” then public school teacher is exactly the job for you.

Research has consistently shown that private school students tend to perform better on standardized tests. The National Assessment of Educational Progress, which is often referred to as “the nation’s report card,” assesses both public and private school students in subjects such as math, reading, science and writing. The most recent NAEP data shows what other research has found: Private school students score better in almost all subjects.

For example, eighth grade private school students averaged about 20 points higher than public school or charter students on the NAEP reading test in 2022.

So desperate to make this personal.

George W. Bush pushed the bullshite reading curriculum on schools.

A private university pushed more bullshite reading curriculum with Lucy Caulkins and readers/writers workshops.

revolting is the most American thing a citizen could do.

I do believe we need a revolution. I went to private schools for pre-k through 12th grades and am currently working on my third degree. I wouldn’t call myself uneducated.

Affordable Care Act is $10 or so a month.

Heritage FoundationI know it's a conservative source, but don't dismiss it out of hand.

It’s all good 4commies. You do not have to worry one bit.

What does vouchers have to do with education other than providing funding for a child to go to a school. I didn’t read your bull shite propaganda because you’ve never established how’ve receiving vouchers is even remotely correlated to a child receiving a worse education.

What do you do for a living?
