then wouldn't that mean we have a right to force others to provide us a service?

Wouldn't that be considered slavery?

I imagine it wouldd be interpreted roughly parallel to Due Process, which gets really complicated. So, once the Congress and the Courts got done carving out the roadmap of complexities, it would be a complete mess and far worse than the convoluted mess it currently is.

How does that differ from the right to an attorney?

Access to health care is a human right, a moral obligation. If you want to step over the sick and dying in the street, move to India.

.....and if you want free health care move to a Socialist country. There are quite a few shitholes in the world ....pick one.

If the government can't talk a single attorney into taking your case, they have to let you walk.

In the healthcare case, if the government can't find a single doc to work on you, you die.

So that's the difference, freedom vs. death.

The untreated sicknesses and infections of the poor will become your sicknesses soon enough. Disease doesn’t care about your politics.

Disease may not care about my politics. But your “right” violates another right. When that occurs, the answer is easy. I don’t even see where the debate is.

I could go for a version of that. A right for participating members of society that can be lost by bad behavior. Such as drug usage and violent crime. We have a sort of universal health care now. Medicare for the old with deductible. And mandatory care for anyone at hospital emergency facilities along with other safety nets.

It does however strike disproportionately the drug users, the violent criminal who tend to cluster under the leftist democrat flag. So yes, there is a direct correlation between being irresponsibility, socialist left wing democrat and sickness.

I have been to the doctor once in the last 10 years. I eat healthy and exercise often. Personal accountability for ones health makes health care costs a non issue for me. Well....... once Obamacare is gone it will be a non issue. I don’t have insurance, nor do I need it. However, I had to pay over a grand per year as a penalty.

Can you imagine that??? Penalized for being healthy and not going to the doctor. What a crazy world.
