Here, I'll explain it to you. Let's start with this: A credible source is one that quotes an eyewitness directly, word-for-word. It doesn't selectively edit or deliberately misquote. A credible source does not deny an eyewitness said what she actually said.

eyewitnesses are among the least credible sources available, especially when cited by a nutjob site like stateofthenation.co

He is an old classmate of Trump’s.

He’s been suspended a couple of times, I think.

I understand the push to make judges partisan and political actors based on who appointed them, but it’s really just not that big of a deal. This judge will still be subject to the appellate court’s jurisdiction and will rule based on precedent in that Circuit or be reversed later on.

This isn’t about the judge being appointed by a generic Democrat or Republican.

This judge was appointed by Bill CLINTON who’s wife, Hillary CLINTON, is a named defendant in this lawsuit.

That is absolutely a conflict of interest.

That obviously make me feel like he wouldn’t be completely impartial in this new trial. However, I think an easy response to this is to simply assign a judge to this case who wasn’t appointed by either Bill or Don.

A few things :

1.
quote:

I’m confused by this because I didn’t think any hrc server stuff was ever in front of a judge

2. As for evidence, at a minimum both PA and WI courts have found and ruled that violations occurred, those are undisputed

3. As for recusal , read 28 USC 455 for grounds.
quote:

(a) Any justice, judge, or magistrate judge of the United States shall disqualify himself in any proceeding in which his impartiality might reasonably be questioned.

Is this a reasonable request. I’m guessing not right off the bat. Perhaps this helps with rulings or pisses the judge off. Many of the judges, since appointed for life, have a very high sense of self importance.

I think it was a nano second after the Trump v. Clinton crooks lawsuit was filed[people started reporting about Ticktin
quote:

One of the attorneys behind Donald Trump’s lawsuit against Hillary Clinton claiming her team attempted to rig the 2016 election in their favor was previously suspended from practicing law and wrote a fawning book about the former president.

Peter Ticktin, of the Florida-based Ticktin Law Group, is listed as the lead attorney in the case, which alleges that Clinton orchestrated an “unthinkable plot” to claim Trump colluded with Russia in order to tarnish his chances of winning the election.

The suit, filed in the District Court for the Southern District of Florida, accuses the Clinton campaign of “racketeering” and a “conspiracy to commit injurious falsehood” and is seeking $72 million in damages over what it claims was a “fraudulent scheme to discredit and delegitimize” Trump.

As reported by legal news website Law&Crime, Ticktin, a former classmate of Trump, was suspended from practicing law in 2009 after being found to have engaged in professional misconduct by the Florida Bar Association.

According to the Bar complaint, Ticktin was representing businessman Paul Johnson. In 2009, while knowing Johnson was facing criminal charges, the pair entered an agreement in which Ticktin replaced Johnson as CEO of one of his companies. Ticktin then continued to do legal work for both Johnson and the company.

Among the complaints against Tictkin was that after Johnson was arrested on suspicion of defrauding investors out of $20 million, he “actively worked against Johnson’s ownership interests'” even while his client was in custody.

Suspension and Investigation
The Sun Sentinel reported in 2010 that Ticktin was suspended another time over his actions as a lawyer, and that he was also investigated over allegations he allowed under pressure homeowners to take out second mortgages in order to pay his legal fees.

Records show that Ticktin is currently in good standing and has had no disciplinary issues for the last 10 years, Law&Crime reported.

In 2020, Ticktin published a book entitled: What Makes Trump Tick: My Years with Donald Trump from New York Military Academy to the Present.

According to the description, the book says there is “no better person” to ask what makes Trump “tick” than Ticktin, due to his time as Trump’s former platoon sergeant who ran Company A for him at the New York Military Academy.

The book also described why Ticktin “always has and always will stand behind 45.”

This is why lawyers SUCK!
The standard is "in which his impartiality might reasonably be questioned." The man owes his lifetime seat to the Clintons who, as defendants, are sworn enemies with the plaintiff, Trump. If that doesn't constitute a reasonable circumstance for questioning impartiality, no such circumstance exists.

Here is the quote you cited as exemplifying what you call is a credible source:
quote:

She was also accurately quoted as saying, “As they started counting the ballots, he was astonished that every single ballot, literally 100 percent of 130,000 ballots, were all Biden ballots...”

She was obviously NOT an eyewitness to which candidate the ballots voted for. She was relating what he (an unidentified male) had told her about who got the votes on the ballots.

Another swing and a miss. Try opening your eyes next time.
