I tend to think you are correct about this. A good few of us, however, have never sat on a jury nor observed a court case play out in real life in front of us. I would think that a "hung jury" would be much more common than "jury nullification".

I wondered if you might be kind enough to take the time to explain what it would take for jury nullification to occur, since I believe many of us consider it to be a simple case of the majority of the jurors finding the defendant not guilty due to their belief that a law is immoral or unfair, despite the compelling evidence against the accused. (This is a serious request - not an attempted "gotcha".)

But is it? Remember the Tyree Nichols case in Memphis a few years ago? We all watched the police murder the young guy.

The 3 that went to trial were acquitted by a black jury.
