Guns absolutely increase homicide rates. There have been countless academic papers written on it.
I think people would be much more okay with gun owners if they were just honest and went:
'Yeah, guns do increase homicide rates and mass shootings but it's a price that I'm willing to pay in order to exercise my rights. '
I would find that fricking refreshing if someone actually said that. Instead of all this BS about armed guards, 'guns don't kill people, people kill people' while ignoring that other societies have far lower homicide rates even when you exclude gang crime and US urban areas.

Poor dumb inner city people kill each other every day and you frickers don't bat an eye unless they suddenly stop voting for you.
If it's so awful to live here with all the firearms move where only the government is allowed to have firearms like North Korea.

Every killing is an outrage to me. But I do draw a distinction between gang members shooting each other and innocent children. You may not but that's your prerogative.
