And it's not just that she felt the need to comment on it at all. She specifically accused him of whining about it. The kid was answering a specific question about going through the college application process while at the same time helping to organize the march, etc, and all he did was state some facts about the process. The interviewer even asked him as a follow up question if he was surprised schools hadn't reached out to recruit him because of his involvement in the march, and he said that he wasn't because he knows that there are amazing applicants all over the country. It was an incredibly mature and humble statement he was making, and Ingraham was so desperate to talk shite about him that she had to try to manufacture something from it.

I wouldn't say her attack on him was "vicious" or anything, but it was clearly mean spirited, personal, baseless, and irrelevant to any disagreements she might have with him on gun control.

Baseless? Are you dumb or just hoping no one reads what you write? Hoggs metrics are subpar for these schools. And he's too stupid or perhaps just too lazy to look up this information on his own. Laura, Shapiro, and others have now pointed this out for him. So their comments are anything but baseless.

And they aren't personal either. They are based on data he provided and data they looked up.

Hogg's comments about college admission are not related to gun control either. They didn't spin those comments into arguments about gun control, they've directly responded to the topic, which was college admission.

If you think such comments are mean spirited, then you must be among the weakest in society. This little bitch Hogg was crying about admissions, hoping to get these schools to reverse their decision and grant him admission. Laura, Shapiro, and others were kind to not point out his disingenuous tactic to get admission.

And now his classmates are calling him out for some lies. Things will implode for this little totalitarian wannabe.

Hogg is a useless pimple on society's arse, but yes Ingraham using her television program to comment on him not getting accepted into college was pointless and mean and more importantly had naught to do with the discussion of gun control. Plenty of people who haven't had ANY college who are able to contribute to the discussion.
