they can't complain then when that contract is enforced.
When enforcing a contract kills Ukraine citizens I think that complaining is OK.

Musk has no obligation to provide unlimited Starlink to Ukraine or anyone for that matter

Every single German offensive thrust, in WWII, stopped at the same time it ran out of fuel. Thousands of horses died in Russia, they were used to haul supplies to the front for the Germans. They didn't have US made trucks like the Russians were given.
The German army in WWII is extremely overrated, as crazy as that seems. They used far more support to their army by horses than machines. It was astonishing that France was overrun that fast, but the plan was a brilliant surprise. And then came the insane decision for Barbarossa, and the Germans overran their supply lines before they could take Moscow. And it was down hill from there. Hitler was doomed with Barbarossa.
Putin screwed up on day 1.

US govt really ought to nationalize it at this point. Regardless of your political leanings, you can’t just have one rich guy at the wheel determining your geopolitical situations

Lessons learned in Ukraine and Iran, with a special session even Russians and dumb people can understand, including anyone who thinks that Russia has an actual hypersonic missile.

Yes and no. The equipment was good but hand fitted tank parts made production crawl. They could have taken Egypt but for lack of fuel. They had a resources problem as well. A case in point was a German merchant ship captured before the US entered. Per my dad the German engine crew insisted on lapping the head of a diesel engine, refusing that a gasket be cut for it. Lapping is preferred but not for speed.
France fell due lack of communications and army being encircled thus cut off.. Combined arms overwhelmed France's fighting the last war.

Do you want a single private citizen, not even a native one, in control of such critical infrastructure and influencing our foreign policy?

Somebody is getting thrown under the bus. Breaks my heart.

Sadly, not a drone hit but just organic Russian stupidity. But it saves the drone money for Kyiv.

An explosion hit the Kosogorsky Metallurgical Plant in Tula, Russia. Nighttime footage captures a large fire inside an industrial metal structure. Its framework lit by flames as thick smoke rises overhead.
Blast-furnace gas ignition is the reported cause. Kosogorsky is a major producer of high-purity pig iron, ferromanganese and castings, upstream materials used in engineering and the defense sector. A fire has broken out at a key node in Russia's industrial supply chain.

Now let's see the SpaceX reaction. It might not be pretty.
quote:
Ukraine is moving to put more of its wartime communications under Ukrainian control. On 22 October, ICEYE and Nokia signed a Letter of Intent with Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence to explore cooperation on sovereign satellite communications. The agreement was announced during the Finnish Prime Minister’s visit to Ukraine.
ICEYE brings its Ukraine record since 2022 and its space-mission experience. Nokia brings the communications side. Their joint European LEO project offers a model in which the state, not merely a service provider, controls the satellites, ground segment and terminals.
It builds toward a future capability without claiming a Ukrainian satellite network is already operating. But the objective is unmistakable: secure links that Kyiv can own and control, rather than communications whose most important decisions sit outside Ukraine.
quote:
Ukraine has good reason to build options beyond any single outside provider. Starlink has been vital to Ukrainian connectivity, but dependence on an externally controlled network leaves decisions about an essential wartime service in someone else’s hands. A sovereign system would not make every existing service unnecessary. It would give Kyiv more control over a capability it cannot afford to lose.

She doesn't understand how China HEAVILY subsidizes certain industries to undercut pricing elsewhere. Take rare earth minerals, it's not the pollutants, its they subsidize it 2X cost.
I can't find any reference to Chinese subsidies or rare earth metals in Frost's X page. Could you send us the link? Thanks.
