Hard to keep up with the number of times some of these refineries have been hit. It's almost as if the drones are following the Russian repair crews around waiting for them to take down the scaffolding.

Too cowardly to take personal responsibility and too cowardly to own it after you've been forced to back down. In this White House the suspects that fit this modus are too numerous to count.
quote:
Reuters: An order to restrict Ukraine’s Starshield satellite service reportedly came from inside the White House, disrupting Ukrainian strike operations and interceptor drones.
The restrictions came amid growing U.S. pressure on Kyiv to stop attacking Russian oil refineries.
Ukrainian officials were told the decision came from the White House, although a senior U.S. official denied Trump personally ordered it.

The new Ukrainian EU visa restrictions. Should be named the Jimmy Swaggart Visa - you can buy it but you can't use it.

Even Putin spent a Friday circling his own capital in the Flying Kremlin with nowhere to land. A swarm of Ukrainian drones had shut all four Moscow airports while he flew home from Turkmenistan. By the account of an officer familiar with the operation, the timing was pure chance. His plane was not the target.

Bloomberg reports that Britain is sending Ukraine a fresh batch of Storm Shadow missiles.
They are timed to arrive before winter, so Kyiv can disrupt Russian operations aimed at civilian infrastructure. Prime Minister Andy Burnham and Zelensky discussed the restock during Zelensky's London visit on Wednesday.
THE LONDON POSITION - Britain sees Ukrainian long-range strikes on Russian sites tied to attacks on civilians and infrastructure as defensive. Those strikes are a response, not an offense.
- London does not believe Ukraine should stop hitting Russia. Refineries included. Moscow refuses to halt its own strikes.
- In August, Burnham announced that Britain would hand over blueprints for long-range missiles so they could be assembled in Ukraine. That will take time.
WHAT THESE MISSILES ALREADY DID - Storm Shadow and SCALP missiles hit the underground parking garage of a residential complex. They also hit an administrative and industrial building in the Druzhba district of occupied Donetsk. At least 20 Russian officers of the 41st Army were killed. Seven were colonels and six were lieutenant colonels. The strike killed more senior Russian military commanders than any other single attack of the war.
The return on a British missile. A headquarters was wiped out. A layer of command disappeared overnight. Now a war machine has to rebuild its staff while winter strikes on Ukrainian power plants continue. More of these before the cold sets in is what the occupiers should dread.

THE GOLDEN HOUR
Frontline medicine runs on one number: the golden hour. A badly wounded fighter evacuated inside that window can live. Miss it, and the odds collapse. A SkyFall representative stated the point directly. With StarGate, a wounded soldier can be pulled out in minutes, not hours. One-way range is 15 kilometers. That is enough to reach men pinned down inside the kill zone, where every other option has failed.

Election season rhetoric is all this is, just like the diesel. There is no such thing as a diesel refinery but 99.9% of the public is clueless about the subject and that includes 99% of oilfield baws, including owners of indie oil producers.

Republican senators have put a trade on the table in Kyiv: Ukraine pauses strikes on Russian energy for 100 days, and Starlink coverage extends 300 km deep into Russia, the WSJ reports.
Senators Roger Wicker and Kevin Cramer made the offer alongside two House members after talks with Ukrainian defense officials. Zelensky signaled he is ready to accept, per the WSJ. The point of the extra reach is to let Ukraine hit missile and drone launchers at the moment they fire on civilian targets.
Recall the overnight throttling that dropped terminals above 160 km/h and blinded drones mid-flight. Now American legislators are offering to widen the same link over Russian territory, where it never worked before, and asking Ukraine to spare Russian refineries in return.
Congress is trying to repair what the White House and the Pentagon broke. Kyiv gets a chance to shoot at the launchers instead of mourning the apartment blocks they hit. Moscow gets 100 days of quiet for its fuel infrastructure.
The question is whether Trump lets his own party's deal stand.
The question is whether Putin lets his own party's deal stand. After Trump gets his phone call, he'll pass the proposal to Musk where it will die.
quote:
It's a good deal for Moscow only if Kyiv [continues] with refinery strikes and [instead] takes a 100-day pause on hitting the launchers. Symptom relief is what Congress is selling, and the disease is the Kremlin's missile campaign, which this deal leaves untouched.

Not so crazy anymore. If she keeps posting like this, I may have to Follow. May.
quote:
Even Laura Loomer is now spelling out for MAGA loyalists what a child could grasp, which is undercutting the populist script Trump and his allies keep pushing. Her argument is blunt: whether Zelensky is Ukraine's president makes no difference. Putin's goal is to take Ukraine, then Poland, Latvia and Lithuania, and keep moving across Europe.
WHAT SHE GOT RIGHT
- Fixating on personalities misses the point. Ukraine could hold elections tomorrow and Putin would still find a pretext to fight
- Russia invaded Ukraine, not the other way around
- Removing Zelensky would not stop Russian imperialism
- The problem was always Putin
Every line of that cuts straight through the "Zelensky refuses peace" talking point that Washington keeps recycling. When the loudest voices in the movement say it openly, the narrative loses its cover.

The operative term here is "St. Petersburg". The rural oblasts are now empty.
They're targeting "ethnics" now but will soon run out and start sweeping the discos and gyms.
Also note that they are detaining Muslims on a Friday as they exit their mosques. It's going to be a long weekend.

Hundreds of security forces are currently cordoning off the Sennaya Market in St. Petersburg. Foreigners who came for Friday prayers are having their documents checked. The market gates are closed. Around the perimeter are riot police and police vans. They're checking hostels and ethnic cafes. Military enlistment offices have joined the raid. Subpoenas have already been handed out to hundreds.

Biden was disinformation with outright lying for decades in the House and the Senate. It even killed one of his presidential campaigns with lefties making fun of him onstage.

Russia took over Crimea and sent regulars into the Donbas long before anyone knew who Zelensky was.
The West did little as a response so Putin waited and saw how weak Biden and the West were he initiated his special operation not because of Zelenskyy, but because he wanted Ukraine back.
Russian propagandists have made Zelensky the bad guy. If George Washington were Ukraine’s President, Putin would have done the same thing.
The sad news is Trump seems to have taken the bait, hook, line and sinker.

Tomahawks are well past their prime. I have no doubt that something better and much cheaper is needed. When they were first introduced, the terrain mapping guidance was absolute state of the art at the time. Now, there are many new options if the MIC isn't too focused on protecting their old cash cow.

If tweet fails to load, click here. What's hysterical is that nobody seems to want to own up to it. No one wants to say, "yeah, I'm the one who made the call" or "The President told me to do it" or "I took the initiative" or anything like that. Whoever made the call knows the fit's hitting the shan and now he or she is ducking and running.
November 3rd can't come fast enough.

The Pentagon didn't break sh!t. We're legally obligated to follow a stupid order, and I know damned well if they had told me and I had said 'no' there were going to be severe punishments while just finding the next guy to do it. I'm ashamed to admit this, but I would have said yes to my president no matter who it is.
That, and it's clear Elon Musk of all people is in charge of Starlink - I seriously doubt Trump's boomer asss would be able to tell you what it actually is.
Goddamn we are the fall guy for every major bad decision that ever gets made.
