Rules for me but not for thee.

I ask once again, how was what JB was doing any different than what Cope and the Bagdad Bob of Kiev are doing?

That is my only issue with the situation. I thought JB deserved a ban, but based on those standards others do as well

To be clear, I’d love to see a ban on Twitter embeds on political boards or an ignore function to take care of it on my own.

US, Germany agree to deliver 5 Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine

July 21, 2025 5:10 pm

The U.S. and Germany have agreed to deliver five Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said on July 21, according to European Pravda.

The announcement comes as Russia escalates its long-range strike campaign on Ukraine, including with ballistic missiles that only the advanced Patriot can shoot down.

Overnight on July 21, Russian forces launched a new mass air attack against Ukraine — including 426 Shahed-type drones and various missiles including Kinzhal air-launched ballistic missiles as well as Kalibrs and Kh-101 cruise missiles.

Speaking during the 29th Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting (better known as the Ramstein group after the U.S. base in Germany), Pistorius said he reached the agreement with U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth during a recent trip to Washington.

Coordination with partners on the systems' delivery will continue in the coming days, Pistorius added.

Ukrainian intelligence has information that major banks are preparing for a debt crisis.

According to Ukrainian intelligence, by late 2025 or early 2026, many borrowers in Russia will begin defaulting on their loans en masse.

The total amount of overdue debt has already risen to 1.5 trillion rubles (around $19.2 billion).

Russian attitudes towards debt responsibilities being what they are, this is not worrying to Moscow until they read that phrase "en masse". Dominos anyone?

The new commitment follows U.S. President Donald Trump's July 14 announcement of a NATO- and EU-backed initiative under which alliance members will purchase U.S.-made weapons systems for Ukraine.

IF this is agreed by the non-Ukrainian countries, it would be huge, basically dropping the borders and making these countries into one big country in many ways. Who needs the EU at that point? Big IF, but still, they are slowly moving in this direction anyway.

Yes but.many of the welchers have backed out of that deal. France, Italy, Spain are three that have said they would not participate.

I have heard a full Patriot system is about $1 billion dollars apiece. If that is true that is alot of money. I hope Trump holds them to it and we don't have to foot this bill.

Can this MAGA yes-man just tell his great leader to actually implement those sanctions instead of always postponing them?

Even coming from this administration, Bissent's hypocrisy here is world class. Graham is a pitiful gas bag, but even he would never stoop this low.

While I agree, I suspect JB and popped got banned for things other than the Lord Bebo love fest they posted.

I do think Coeur is at JB levels of spam (if we discount JB's epic work on the Political Talk board about how the American Military is awful, China is Great, Hitler was just anti tranny etc...), but JB should have stuck to non known Russian Disinfo sources. He was really anti-American in many of his posts.

Half of what they posted could have been found somewhere else, but he repeatedly hit those sources.

But if you take away Couer I think this topic is reasonably even split, and reasonably pro American.

Russia attacks Sumy Oblast with drones, injures 13, including 5-year-old child

July 22, 2025 12:43 am

Russian forces launched a drone strike on Ukraine's northeastern Sumy Oblast on July 21, injuring 13 people, including a 5-year-old boy, local officials said.

"This evening, the enemy attacked civilian infrastructure in the Putvyl community with drones," Governor Oleh Hryhorov wrote on Telegram.

Hryhorov initially reported at approximately 10:00 p.m. local time that four people, including the child, were injured and received medical assistance without hospitalization.

A fire broke out at the scene, and emergency crews are continuing efforts to contain the damage, he added.

Later updates increased the number of injured to 13.
