Hmmm...The EU still gets 13% of it's natural gas from Russia...right now. $7+ billion dollars worth last year. They are trying to wean off it by the end of 2026...maybe 2027 but what's another $14 billion to Russia to continue their war efforts.
I'm sure Louisiana and Texas among others would be happy to provide a whole lot of LNG and oil products to Europe.

Not efficient or cost effective.

Gulf Stream cuts fuel consumption, and time drastically. Ships take the Great Circle to get to Europe so to take advantage of this

I apologize to everyone else in advance for the long post...y'all know it's not my normal thing.
Currently at sea...meaning been sitting out there waiting because no one would buy it. Why would no one buy it? Harder sanctions and tariffs imposed by who?
Hint:
So roughly 9 days worth of what China and India use by themselves.
Hopefully Trump doesn't extend this...but I doubt you will see any tankers freely sailing out under Iranian flags anytime soon.
Now about that shadow fleet. It's called a shadow fleet for a reason. Who did anything about it until Trump? India and China were regularly buying Russian/Iranian oil and at a huge discount. I don't recall seeing you on here bitching about India funding Russia against Ukraine. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Again...who is seizing shadow fleet tankers?
Hint as to who is not helping with this problem:
quote:
Again, more of your denial. The point made was that TACO removed the sanctions from both Russia and Iran.
quote:
Yes, Trump lifted sanctions on Iranian oil and eased sanctions on Russian oil. This temporary measure allows the purchase of oil that is currently at sea until mid-April 2026.

Hint:
quote:
The Trump administration’s threat of extra sanctions on India for buying Russian oil has seen New Delhi reduce its purchases of Moscow’s crude. India’s coast guard said it had seized three sanctioned tankers off its shores this month, the first time it is known to have intercepted shadow-fleet vessels.

About 140 million barrels of oil will be brought to global markets due to the lifting of sanctions on some Iranian oil

Zero sanctioned tankers were seized prior to Trump taking office.

Since Dec 10 the U.S. has seized nine more tankers it says are part of the shadow fleet, while the French have seized one and India three.

LONDON, March 31 (Reuters) - More than two dozen ships sanctioned for being part ?of Russia's so-called shadow fleet have passed through UK waters since Prime Minister Keir Starmer last week authorised the military to detain ?vessels used by Moscow to export oil.
The figures based on ship tracking data analysed by Reuters show that oil tankers sanctioned by Britain are continuing to travel along England's southern coast in the same numbers as before the announcement

Russian An-26 transport aircraft reportedly crashes over occupied Crimea, killing 29
April 1, 2026 12:36 am
A Russian An-26 transport aircraft crashed in occupied Crimea late on March 31, Russian Telegram media channels reported, killing 29 military personnel on board.
Russian state media outlet RIA Novosti, citing the Russian Defense Ministry, first reported that the fate of the aircraft and crew is unknown, with a search and rescue team dispatched. The Defense Ministry further claimed that "there was no evidence of external damage to the aircraft" amid the loss of contact.
Russian Telegram media channels with ties to the Russian Defense Ministry later reported that 29 Russian military personnel, including six crew members, were killed in the crash that occurred due to a "technical malfunction."
Russia's Defense Ministry claimed that the aircraft lost contact with radar around 6 p.m. local time.
The Kyiv Independent cannot immediately verify the reports nor claims made by Russian officials. The exact location of the crash was not immediately clear.
The cause of the loss of contact was not immediately clear. Ukraine's military has not commented on the reported crash.

Ya mean we, as consumers, can get into a bidding war with Europe over our oil??
Forgive me if I don't see this as an ideal solution.

Hungary is going to have to choose whether its going to go with Russia or with Europe.
In a logical world, this is as easy a choice as one could ever imagine, but we aren't living in a logical world right now.

Nobody calls Russia Europe
Everybody considers western Russia to be part of Europe which is where a majority of Russia’s population lives, dumbass.

Russia is in two continents. It is a transcontinental country that spans both Europe and Asia, with the Ural Mountains often considered the dividing line between the two parts.
Approximately 77% of Russia's landmass lies in Asia, while the majority of its population resides in the European part, particularly in cities like Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Uh, not everybody:
Does Putin consider Russia to be European?
"Vladimir Putin generally does not consider Russia to be a strictly "European" nation in the modern Western sense, instead promoting the idea that Russia is a unique, independent "Eurasian" civilization. While recognizing Russia's historical and cultural ties to Europe, his rhetoric—particularly since the 2022 invasion of Ukraine—has focused on distinguishing Russia from the "collective West" and distancing it from European values, which he frequently characterizes as hostile"
Congrats, Ag, you finally got something right.
