Germany and Austria are now receiving natural gas via pipeline from Azerbaijan. Fat Boy Orban could have had a pipeline built to the same TAPS system when he returned to office but Putin refused.

Wow, if true, that was fast. At least they didn't go with the tenth floor window or 'suicide'. If this is accurate, his father had better head for the bunker. If the kid dies, the funeral will be incredible.

So, once again our President lies and says Zelensky is holding up the peace process:

He can't hold off on anything that disrupts his Putin love for longer than a day or two...

I think Trump is being manipulated into making the U.S. just as awful as Russia, which validates Putin's big pitch to his own country and the world: "The U.S. is just as bad as we are, they just lie about it." That's working like a charm right now.

His eyes are 100% on Iran right now. It sure looks like he is going big over there enough to topple the regime. Iran is the source of almost all terrorism in the ME, via its proxies. It has also operated one of the largest social media prop campaigns equal to Russia and China. During the 12 day war with Israel, 100% of the Scottish separatist accounts went dead.

The sad part about it is the kid is apparently enough of a doucebag to actually believe it happened. Despite the chance to hold a small, but significant, role in geopolitics it's entirely possible he's still just a spoiled rich kid who can't handle the car daddy got him.

Additional reports are coming out now. Grozny is not exactly an open media hub.

According to Kavkaz.Realii, 18-year-old Adam Kadyrov, son of Chechnya’s leader, was seriously injured in a car crash and is in critical condition. A Russian EMERCOM plane was spotted near Grozny, and videos show traffic jams and ambulances. Some outlets report unverified claims of his death.

Update-
quote:

An An-148 medevac aircraft landed in Moscow after flying from Grozny following reports of a traffic accident involving Adam Kadyrov. Shortly afterward, a second aircraft also landed in Moscow. The second jet is believed to be used by Ramzan Kadyrov, as leaked Russian border service data indicate he has regularly flown on this aircraft for trips to the UAE in recent years. The sequence of flights has therefore drawn attention.
quote:

The most tracked plane in the world at the moment — the aircraft of Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations, heading for Moscow from Grozny.

Comments are savage.

Further update. This could be simply the kid's fault, typical teenage driving. Wait... in Chechnya...? Uh, no.

quote:

(Caucasus.Realities) — Adam Kadyrov has regained consciousness and is with doctors. ‘His condition does not raise concerns among doctors.’

The car in which the 18-year-old son of Kadyrov was traveling was leading the motorcade and was moving at a very high speed. Adam himself was behind the wheel. ‘The vehicle lost control while in motion and then crashed into some kind of barrier.

quote:

- 69% of Ukrainians living in Ukraine believe Russia’s primary goal is to destroy the Ukrainian nation or commit genocide.

Overall, 83% believe Russia’s objectives are broader than simply taking full control of Donbas;

- 77% believe that although Russia is advancing in the war zones, it is doing so slowly and at heavy cost, and that Ukraine is capable of continuing to resist (only 12% consider Ukraine’s resistance hopeless);

- 69% do not believe the current talks will lead to a lasting peace (the main reason cited is Russia’s unwillingness to make peace and its desire to continue the war against Ukraine). Only 26% believe they will;

- 54% firmly reject the proposal to hand all of Donbas over to Russia in exchange for security guarantees from the US and Europe. 39% would agree but only with substantial security guarantees;

- 55% support holding a referendum on a peace deal, while 32% oppose it;

- 57% expect that even if the war is frozen along the current front line and accompanied by security guarantees, Russia will still try to attack again (only 11% believe it would not);

- 59% believe that in the event of another Russian attack, Europe would provide all necessary support. Confidence in the US is lower: 39% believe the US would help;

- 60% view the possibility of online voting in elections negatively (and when discussed in the context of potential fraud, negative views rise to 71%). In other words, Ukrainans still have no illusions regarding Russia's intentions in this war.

Full results.

Another seized shadow fleet vessel, this time by the Italians.

quote:

Italian authorities have seized a cargo ship in Brindisi after discovering it had departed from Russian Black Sea waters and was carrying 33,000 tons of ferrous materials, Rai News reports.

The ship, registered under the flag of a small Pacific island, was found to have falsified documents to hide a stop in the Russian port of Novorossiysk, which is under EU sanctions.

The Guardia di Finanza and customs officials confirmed the vessel’s route using satellite data and navigation records. The seizure was carried out under EU Regulation 833/2014, which enforces sanctions on Russia for its invasion of Ukraine.

More false reports, more technical advances, intrigue on the ground, Russian economy hurting, Ukraine needs juice, and some small Russian games.

quote:

Key Takeaways
Russian milbloggers continue to loudly reject the alternate battlefield reality that Russian President Vladimir Putin and senior Russian military commanders are trying to create.
The Russian military command has displayed a clear pattern of publicly presenting false information about the battlefield as part of a wider cognitive warfare effort that aims to influence US decision-making about ongoing peace negotiations.
Falling Russian oil and gas revenues and Russia’s continued depletion of its liquid reserves will likely complicate Kremlin efforts to fund a protracted war in Ukraine.
Insufficient infrastructure investments in Russia’s Far East are likely hurting Russian economic agreements with the People’s Republic of China (PRC).
Ukrainian forces are countering recent Russian Shahed strike drone adaptations that allowed Russian forces to target Ukrainian aircraft, highlighting the short offense-defense technological cycle in the war.
Media reports suggest that a car accident seriously injured Adam Kadyrov, the son of Chechen Republic Head Ramzan Kadyrov and possible successor, but ISW cannot independently verify these reports.
Ukraine’s European partners announced new aid to support the Ukrainian military and energy grid.
Russian forces recently advanced near Slovyansk, Pokrovsk, and Hulyaipole.

As an infantryman and as a military analyst this is what scares me the most.

Yes, the drone airwar is bad, but when they start putting out machines that do the infantry's job (and probably more lethal) it's going to change literally everything, and not in a good way. The possible amount of power this gives douchebag tech-bros is genuinely horrifying.

It places a premium on manufacturing capabilities much of which we exported over the last 30+ years.
