Another globalist pro EU pro Ukraine government has been kicked out by the people.

Populist pro Trump Andrej Babis won by a landslide. His campaign slogan was Czechia First.

Who will be next?

Tusk? Starmer?

Hopefully the EU continues to print more money for Ukraine and cuts back benefits for their own Citizens. If that continues to happen the EU will collapse in 5 years

France is burning now because of the proposed cuts to benefits.

The people of Europe are going to revolt if their socialist welfare is threatened.

Tell me again how those governments are going to spend 5% on defense and afford to continue the social welfare.

The only hope for those globalist socialist governments to stay in power is to rig elections, steal elections, arrest their political opponents, etc. They are just like the Democrats.

You sort of buried the lede on this one.

Europe can afford to either: 1) arm Ukraine and themselves to counter Russia, or 2) continue their socialist welfare and immigration programs.

They have chosen #1. That's a tough pill domestically. And yes there will be protests and riots. But what else is new.

But the story is that they're playing the long game against Russia. They are leaning in to their inherent advantages, and that's bad news for Putin.

You forgot just one thing and it is happening now and has been happening for awhile and it will continue. Those governments are being voted out and will continue to fall because of their choices. The people will protest and then vote the bums out. They are totally out of touch with the people. From high inflation to soaring fuel costs to the insane green policies that have ruined their economies and deindustrialized their nations. Do you honestly think that the new governments won't reverse those policies? Just watch what happens in Czechia. The elitists politicians have made their choice but the people will also have a say. Unless you are a Romanian and the EU steals your election.

Not to even mention the illegal immigration that these governments thrust on their people. Politicians like Starmer and Tusk couldn't get elected dog catcher right now and they are not the only one. If the German government doesn't stop it the AfD is coming to power in Germany. Their popularity numbers have increased dramatically over the last two-three months.

The number one issue in Czechia among the voters was high inflation and high fuel costs caused in part by the Ukraine war. The analyst even admitted the stunning reversal among the voters in regards to continuing the support for Ukraine. When the war started Czechia was one of Ukraine's biggest supporters. That is no longer true and that trend is growing upon the people of Europe.

Don't take my word just listen to the DW analyst. Not exactly a pro Russian anti EU news organization.

France is doing France, nothing more and nothing yes. EVERYTHING in France is unionized, even farmers. If it weren't of US bankers, both England and France would have lasted barely a year in WWI.

You are consistently dazzled by shiny but bad reporting

So 2 options which harm them instead of focusing on neutrality and prosperity and enforcing the border. Which kind of stupidity is that...

The kind that doesn't get you invaded by a power hungry sociopathic empire building neighbor. These guys remember what happens when they get lulled to sleep by talk of neutrality. England remembers as well.

The only thing that checks guys like Putin is strength. The things you speak of show weakness.

No one wants to be the next Belarus. Not even Belarus.

Russia launches massive overnight drone and missile attack across Ukraine

October 5, 2025, 01:55 AM

Russia launched another massive overnight drone and missile attack on Ukraine early on Oct. 5, targeting multiple regions, including western oblasts. Air raid alerts were declared across the country as air defenses engaged incoming threats.

In Lviv Oblast, explosions were reported across the region, including in the city of Lviv, where the Sparrow industrial park caught fire after being struck. Mayor Andriy Sadovyi confirmed no military facilities were hit, calling it a “civilian site without any military component.” He urged residents to stay indoors and keep windows closed due to potential smoke and chemical emissions from the fires.

Parts of Lviv, including the Riasne and Levandivka districts, were left without power after the attack, and public transportation was temporarily suspended. Ukrainian Railways reported delays of up to 30 minutes on suburban trains in the Stryi direction and on the regional route between Lviv and Khmelnytskyi.

In Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, Russian missiles targeted critical infrastructure, though no casualties were reported, according to regional authorities. Air defenses were also active in Khmelnytskyi, where several missiles were intercepted.

In Cherkasy Oblast, falling drone debris damaged power lines, leaving several areas without electricity. The region’s air defenses shot down 13 Shahed drones with no injuries reported.

The attack also affected Zaporizhzhia, where more than 73,000 consumers lost power overnight — including 67,000 in the city and another 6,000 in nearby districts — regional governor Ivan Fedorov said. Repair crews began restoration work, expected to be completed by the end of the day.

Ukrainian Air Force monitoring channels reported missile launches from Tu-95 strategic bombers over Russia’s Engels airbase and additional launches of Kalibr cruise missiles from the Black Sea. MiG-31K aircraft carrying Kinzhal hypersonic missiles were also detected in the air.
