There are a ton of factors hitting the Russian economy outside of these drone strikes.
Yet they are being presented as turning the tide for Ukraine. Maybe they are, that would be nice! But show your work.

There is a kernel of truth to this, but you are also downplaying JB's work.
Close to the end he was posting 80-90 posts a day (many of them were deleted which may give insight into some material differences). He was averaging 7-9 posts per hour over 10-12 hours every single day 7 days a week.
He would scroll X find a post embed it on TD and include a paragraph or two of his own words. Do this 7 times in an hour and see how much time is left in said hour. Then do it all day, 7 days a week for weeks on end. He averaged over 5 posts and hour during his "work" hours for over a year.
JB may have had a mental health issue but he presented as someone that was getting remuneration for his work or amplification of his work or others. Most forum admins don't like this sort of behavior. He also didn't segregate his musings to ongoing threads.
You can argue CdT's and JB's post quality was/is similar but the volume is quite different. You are going to catch attention in a forum when you post like it is a 70 hour per week job. He often talked about his interactions with mods/admins and while he seemed to think it always went his way, it was clear he was becoming a PITA for the mods. The sheer volume of work the last couple of weeks was about as suspect as you can get on a forum.

If Putin is willing to compromise now, the refinery bombing could be contributing to the cause. Like you I don’t think they are the primary reason, but that’s my guesss.
But I don’t think you can entirely dismiss their impact. I think these attacks and all the other attacks plus their struggles to win key Ukrainian strongholds are stressing out the Russian economy and war machine.

I don't dismiss their impact but they don't necessarily shutdown an entire refinery, especially for old refineries where expansions included adding a crude unit, and over decades this can mean more than 2 crude units.
BTW, caustic treating doesn't remove all sulfur compounds. It is NOT a complicated thing to do. It will no clean up kerosene nearly enough to make RP1 (rocket propellant) for missiles.

I have had a margarita within the hour, but I could swear I saw (possibly posted here) this same video about this battle on this date but it claimed the invaders were Russians, not North Koreans...

Someone, I believe you, made a similar claim like this in the old thread, I did the math based on his entire number of posts and it was pretty far off. Dont think I posted about it then because I have agreed with a JB ban even before it happened and it doesn't matter all that much at the end of the day, but it's also not great to complain about someone being a propaganda mouthpiece using bad information lol
The math might be right though, idk. He posted a frick ton, but that number seems high to me. I also just scroll past any link from sources I consider questionable or bad regardless of who it is, so there's a decent chance I think his post frequency was lower than it really was because I saw a link to a shitty Twitter account and didn't even acknowledge who the poster was before scrolling.

Every last one of his links was an obvious Russiaot type Twatter account.
