I agree with this, hes going to do whatever it takes to get 100% of the black vote in LC

This video pretty much sums up why the folks in the north thinks he is qualified for mayor

Our new mayor here in Baton Rouge- Sharon Weston Broome- has instituted a Hug-a-Thug program, this is a mandate requiring our Police to be nicer to the criminals on the street. This will surely slow down the skyrocketing crime rate in Baton Rouge.

Yup, and EVERYONE in LC knows it too. I think Nic has this in the bag.

That's is the kind of thinking that has me worried. I've heard from someone in the know that early exit polls are super tight right now. I would encourage everyone who cares about the future of the city to take the time to vote

Nic will need all the votes he can get. This can easily go to Carter unfortunately

That video seems like a parody but it's probably not

Yes! With all of the potential opportunity and growth in Puddle Chuck, it will be a disappointment if we go the way of so many "progressive" left cities.

Detroit, Cleveland, Chicago, Jackson or any metropolis in New Jersey. The list is endless.

Not to mention our brethren cities of New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Shreveport and Monroe.
The horror, the horror.

This is not a racial election per se.

There is a good and a horrible option regardless of skin color and party affiliation.

Long-time lurker, first time poster...

FYI, the person in this video is former LSU football player Brandon Winey.

Yes that's the one. Probably what he's referring to when discussing getting his bond lowered.

Troy Bell likes Lake Charles more than BR.

Yep, and lots more church groups. WC is working it. Doesn't sound good for Nic and Lake Charles

No doubt it will be a close one. There were about 6,000 early voters. Nic won a large proportion of the early voting in the primary, but I think it will be more like 50/50 this time. It comes down to who shows up today to cast.

Get out and vote and bring grandma.

Unfortunately for this mayoral race, Hunters voting demographic all live outside of the city limits... inside the city, it's 50/50. Obviously it's going to be tight.

I don't know how Hunter will do, but Carter is as crooked as they come.

I think that it will be a close one and limited voter turn-our as in the primary.

What is your take on the KPLC TV debate last Tuesday? Did you view it?

Wasn't able to see it, but heard Carter looked pretty bad compared to Hunter.

Worse than Baton Rouge could ever imagine.

The LC city limits are ridiculous. Literally all over the place. There are neighborhoods pretty far south of town in the limits and densely populated ones closer to town that aren't. It has been brought up for years and still looks that way.
